View Full Version : Why is the East open this year?

I noticed at the start of the playoffs you could make a case for at least 4 different teams but for the last 8 years only one guy made it to the Finals and it was a lock becos of his dominance so I ask why is the east open this year
What changed

What changed
The East didn't require a superstar cast to make the Finals, but one guy stacked his team with 2 superstars and monopolized the conference for 8 years
But now he's gone, so it's back to 1-superstar teams making the Finals, just like pre-2011, pre-"decision"/collusion
Btw, even though lebron's collusion ruled the East for years, he almost never ruled the LEAGUE, because he rarely won the championship... indeed, he only beat the West 3 times, so he would only make 3 Finals out West for his career and his Finals appearances were therefore conference-dependant

Hey OP is there any team in the East with #1, #2, and #4 PER players on the same team?
Can you EVER even imagine that happening in real life? What kind of a shameless winless loser would you have to be to even consider diluting the league to such an extent?

Because a known colluder isn't colluding in the east anymore. He tried in the west and couldn't even make the playoffs.

The East has been referred to as the Leastern conference for over 10 years because of the clear talent imbalance with the West. So your idol with a colluded team was able to beat the Least and get to the finals were he was exposed year in and year out.

Why is the East open
Does ne1 know?
2004 - missed playoffs
2005 - missed playoffs despite the East all-star center on his team
2006 - 2nd round elimination
2007 - 2-seeded Cavs beat 1-seeded Pistons to make Finals (lebron averaged 21 on 41% outside of game 5; 25 on 45% overall)..... then 22 on 36% in Finals sweep loss
2008 - 26 on 35% in ecsf loss
2009 - loses with 60-win 1 seed
2010 - loses with 60-win 1 seed (record - no one ever lost with 60-win 1 seed for two straight yrs)
Then said "fck this, I can't handle being such a loser" and teamed up with the #2 and #4 players in PER aka the best small forward and shooting guard in the league
There it is, after no minutes of research

Has anyone ever had that lets see 2011 since you keep crying about that year
1. LeBron
2. Howard
3. Wade
4. Love
5. Goatbe
So just so you know D12 and Love were not on the Heat in 2011
And if PER is so great then guess what Bran had higher Finals PER in 2014 then Mike had in 5 of 6 Finals runs so if we really want to use PER then you lose this becos Bran is #3 in playoff PER all time
Once again TheConsensus, Bran is top 3 all time :pimp:
