This needs its own thread becos
we. need. ANSWERS

Look at how many times Westbrook outperformed Snake Durant during multiple critical playoff series.

2013 WCF vs Spurs
Russ: .......27-6-7-3.2 spg (41%)
ORtg: ......109
DRtg: ......108
GmScore: 20.9

Durant: ....26-8-3-1.2 spg (47%)
ORtg: ......105
DRtg: ......113
GmScore: 17.8

2016 WCF vs Warriors
Russ: ...-....27-7-11-3.6 spg (40%)
ORtg: .......109
DRtg: .......104
GmScore: .23.1

Durant: ....30-8-3-1.7 spg (42%)
ORtg: .......106
DRtg: .......106
GmScore: .20.1

As you can see in both crucial series Westbrook outplayed Durant but wasn't able to carry that choke artist's snake body all the way to a series win.

In both series listed above Westbrook is a net positive (ORtg -DRtg) while Durant was a neg NEGATIVE in both series.

I just...I mean...Wow. Response Durant fans?

So in the two biggest playoff series Westbrook had a better

Offense Rating
Defense Rating
AND higher GmScore

:wtf:

Plenty of people, including me, said shit...it was just ignored because of everyone focuses on the flaws of Russ's game rather than the fact that he's been a great player for a long time...until now...his shot is broken in a way that has made him a demonstrably worse player.

But from like 11 through 17 or 18? Dude was a complete stud. Again, not perfect, but a true superstar.

And, yea, Durant had plenty of help in OKC and just couldn't handle the pressure of being a franchise player. This isn't even an opinion. Durant himself said he just wanted to go somewhere and "ball"...and not have to worry about all the other stuff.

But for some reason people on here love to hate on Curry and Russ...and prop up Durant.

Imagine, again...actually imagine if the Warriors were 30-1 without Curry and just went off on what essentially amounts to a 6-0 playoff run without him to make the finals easily. Imagine the hate he'd get...

Not sure why, but it is a huge double standard.

Even the Kblaze post yesterday...I don't know his full take, but it seemed like he was arguing that Curry isn't on the level of a lot of the guys he listed...Durant was on the list. Again, not sure what his take is...but it seems a lot of people here and in the basketball world just want to act like KD is clearly better. And I think that is straight up non-sense....not a stupid opinion to say KD is better...I disagree, but not stupid. Absolutely stupid to act like they are on different tiers though.
