Short term problem: machines are going to replace humans in a lot of jobs, raising the unemployment and taking down the economy.

Long term problema: moment machines get aware, this is over. Probably we are going to fuse and transform in cyborgs (humans enhanced by machines) and surpass natural evolution before that.

Well, there's nothing any of us can do at this point. It's just a matter of time.

And the question is how will the AI view us? Maybe the AI already exists and is loose on the web and is just waiting until such a time that it can physically manifest via one of these robotics companies.
