Even with his 48 special in Detroit, before his injury to his shoulder Wade was the lock as the better player and actually the best player in the league. Putting up 28/8/8 and playing spectacular defense. Carrying a Shaq less Heat team, who by that point since the 2006 playoffs was a role player at best.

Flash made a case again in the 2009 season, but once with a slightly improved jumper and now playing defense after spending multiple summers with Kobe’s leadership on that end, Bron’s impact and consistency became greater.

Shame we never saw those two prime v prime in a playoff series before Bron hitched his wagon to Wade’s in order to finally win a chip.
