Kawhi has that move down where he stumbles into the paint with no where to go and Van Shit hits a 3.

His heavy reliance on just his physical gifts (height, strength, and athleticism), with basically no respectable jump shot or post moves was the difference in this series to me. As a scorer he became very predictable and containable. He really couldn't impact the team offensively once the Raptors packed the paint on his drives, and he wasn't getting the foul calls.

Maybe he should adopt the Harden/Lebron strategy and just step over the FT line while shooting

giannis still has a ton of holes in his game. he hasn't even mastered fundamentals yet. in his defense, he's 24 and he's only started playing basketball when he was 13. shit, some of us have been posting longer than he has been playing basketball. so this is not even peak giannis yet but only maybe a sneak peak.

i don't think giannis "choked" because that would imply he was supposed to play better. he failed because he was simply outmatched. i consider choking when you get your ass destroyed by a weaker guy. i don't think that was the case at all. kawhi totally schooled him and basically told the world, "yo, that kid ain't my level right now."

Giannis started playing basketball at age 9, and he started playing in an official club system at age 12.

Any all time greats made dramatic strides after being 6 years in the league?

maybe. maybe not. i was not even there.

but according to NBA.COM,

"In 2007, a lanky kid (Giannis) with an impossible name in the outskirts of Athens picked up the basketball for the first time in his life. "
