How are you supposed to make the playoffs when you have a season ending injury and your team goes 5-12 without you

Quit making shit up. LeBron missed some games during the season because of the groin injury and for "load management". When he came back to the team he self activated playoff mode after beating Houston, they went 3-12 (3 wins, 12 losses).

He eventually was forced by Lakers management to shut it down the last several games for tanking purposes. Not because he was injured. It was a mercy shutdown. Dude was doing nothing but just padding stats out there.

There is a difference. Kawhi went to an already made team, didn't they have some ridiculous record without him? Not to say they don't need him, they clearly do when they get tight in the playoffs. Meanwhile Lebron went to a team in disarray, with a lazy GM and clueless coach with young players that have 0 hunger. He has to show them the way, I'm counting on that next season.

Correction:

Kawhi left a 47-35 win team and they then went 48-34 without him.... meaning his impact is not noteworthy & can be substituted easily.
-
Kawhi goes to a 59-23 win team and goes 58-24.... meaning again his impact is not noteworthy & can be substituted easily, they would probably still go to the Finals this year without him but with Derozan instead (only because Lebron wasnt in East).

LeBron left a 50-23 win NBA Finals team and they then went 19-63 without him.... meaning his impact is GOAT level & can not be substituted whatsoever, if you want more examples of this then check out ALL his other before/after results joining/leaving teams.
-
Lebron goes to a 35-47 win team and misses 40% of the games, the other ones he played mostly injured.... meaning... nothing to talk about here....

Who'da thunk it, right?

One guy joined the team that had the East's best record last season. They also went 17-5 without him.

The other guy joined a lottery team that was decimated by injuries all season. Went 9-18 without him.

None of this meant to slight Kawhi, of course. The guy is a special player. But Lakers wouldn't have made the playoffs with Kawhi in place of LeBron either.

Lies again. LeBron missed 27 games, at least 10 of which because of load management and tanking reasons from management. Kawhi played in roughly the same number of games.

Lakers record last year without LeBron: 35-49
Lakers record this year after adding LeBron: 37-47

LeBron added a paltry two wins and couldn't get better than a 10th seed in the Wild West. Save your excuses. The man is finally getting exposed and we're all seeing him for who he truly is. A guy who couldn't win unless he had two other star players on his team in a weak conference.

Of those 22 games, The Raptors went 5-6 against playoff teams.

You're right. Kawhi is a special player.

Spurs in 2016 - 67 wins, 2017 - 61 wins, 2018 - 47 wins, 2019 - 48 wins, from being up 23 on the Warriors in the WCF to losing in the first round in B2B years.

looks like they got a lot worse without Kawhi.
