View Full Version : Why is Curry's 2015 ring counted?

He went up against Kyrie only for 1 game and no Kevin Love, and did not win FMVP.

Could you imagine a guy like Lebron and the ton of people discrediting him if he won a ring against the Warriors without Klay and Draymond in 2015 and ALSO didn't win FMVP?

Curry's 2015 ring is slightly better than Kobe in 2000 (played like garbage, got a minor injury for one game, basically wasn't need at all) and Duncan's ring in 99 (MJ/Bulls disbanded year before... Spurs also played an EIGHT SEED in the 99 finals).

Basically Curry has two rings, and Kobe/Duncan have 4 rings.

Why is Curry's 2011 ring counted? That's the real question. Have y'all seen Ayesha on social media? smh

Lebron haters don't wanna count 2016 because Dray was suspended for 1 game (which he deserved due to getting too many technicals).

Yet they count Curry's non-FMVP ring with Kyrie and Love missing the finals?

So we got, 2015 Curry, 2000 Curry, 99 Duncan all with one non-important ring.

Cavs still had their best player on the court so what's the issue really? He was clearly his team's best player and averaged 28/5/6/2 on 61%TS for the championship run. It's one of the weaker Finals teams like AI's Sixers or the Nets, but the ring still counts.

I haven't seen anyone not count Lebron's 2016 championship run.. people have brought up the Draymond suspension and Bogut/Iggy getting injured when it comes to people calling that Warriors team better than anyone Kobe/MJ faced which is simply not true... Cavs were down 1 - 3 before the suspension and injuries to GS. Still an impressive win and a great championship run, so is Curry's 2015.

Injuries are a natural part of the game.

Suspensions in the middle of the NBA Finals are not.

They are natural when you reach the technicals limit...which is what happened to Draymond. He was suspended because of everything he did UP until game 5 of the finals.

The OP is right. Beating LeBron isn't an achievement. Good thing Curry did others things too that year.

Actually if I recall ALL of the Warriors opponents in 2015 were missing their best or second best player?

The Warriors were CERTAINLY a better team in 2016...feels like 2015 has asterisk all over it.

Both 2016 and 2015 are both a wash and don't count due to multiple stars being injured.

The reason why we know this to be true is because you talk to any 5 random people walking into the Q in Cleveland and ask them "was 2016 a legit ring?" and the response is always the same:

"no, once the excitement wore off we realized that winning against another team with 3 key injuries and a suspension isn't legit... neither is 2015 when kyrie and love were injured"

It's the same response every time, and it pisses off bronsexuals that try to live vicariously through CLE sports fans from the safety of their mother's dank basements. :applause:

Ya everyone I've talked to in Benny's says they're still depressed that Cleveland hasn't won a legit ring. They all blame Lebron for fkcing it up. Sad stuff.

Yep, they all tell me how bad he fvcking blows considering Clevleand put him in position in 2017 and 2018 to win it in a legit fashion since 2015 and 2016 were a wash. The only thing lebron did in those finals was show Cleveland how to be KD's little bitch boy by not playing both sides of the ball. :applause:

Lebron cried like a bitch after the game because Dray called him a bitch. Then lebron cried to Adam silver and got drays foul retroactively upgraded to a flagrant

Your meltdown is just more validation for my OP...which doesn't need it since it's fact (No Kyrie after regulation in game 1, no Love, no FMVP).

But it's still hilarious to see you scramble so much.
