You're joking right? Besides Donnie Brasco all he did in the 90s was his "yell really loud so I seem to be portraying emotion" bullshit. He was a great actor in the 70s, but since the 80s when he cleaned up he's basically overacted in 85% of everything he's been. You have terrible taste if you think his "acting" was great in the 90s.

You have poor reading comprehension. Outside of his acting which is top notch, all of these films mentioned have been hits. That's what this thread is about. His involvement in these hits.

Look who I'm talking to you, though...a fukking retard who believes there is this benevolent "God" creature in space who gives a shit what he does with his life.

Like er1 else said, Leo wipes his balls across classics. :lol

Al picked n pop mob roles, generally same character every film

And he’s usually not lead actor.

Heat is all Depiro
Devil Advo is Keanu

Decent actor with replay value

But Pacino doesn’t make or break films. Heat is bae, got outshined by Kilmer, Voyt, Deniro. His detective role was wack

Here comes the cringey Leonardo stans :lol

scuz is right about heat, Deniro was the lead actor. you have to have inbred IQ to watch that film and come away thinking that Al Pacino was the lead.

dicaprio always looked like a boy playing a part in most of his movies .. having the higher pitched voice doesn't help .. getting better at looking the part as he's gotten older

This is what I feared. Leo stans were going to come in here and mention films like Body of Lies and The Beach. :oldlol:

Pacino wasn't the lead in a lot of those films he made in the 90's.

Ryan Gosling is kind of underrated. The guy has played anything from comedy to cold killer. "Drive" "a place beyond the pines" "The big short" "Fracture" "Bladerunner 2049" "Remember the Titans"

This guy has a fvcking solid list :biggums:

Pacino's run in the early-mid 70's was even better.

The Godfather
Serpico
The Godfather Part II
Dog Day Afternoon

Off topic, but this year he will be in both a Tarantino & Scorsese film.

I don't stan Leo. In fact I prefer Al Pacino over him.

Your list was about who had a "better run" . Take the L and deal with it.

The Departed with inception combined obliterate all the other Pacino 90s movies. Then you add Blood Diamond, Gangs of New York, the Aviator, Shutter Island and Catch me if you can to the list and it's a no brainer.

Half of those movies suck. Donnie Brasco is an underappreciated gem though.

Tom Hanks run from 1993 to 2002 was something else;

Sleepless in Seattle
Philadelphia
Forrest Gump
Apollo 13
Toy Story
Saving Private Ryan
You've Got Mail
Toy Story 2
The Green Mile
Cast Away
Catch Me If You Can

Now we're talking! Very good call. Tom Hanks was in hit after hit in the 90's. Only one missing from that list is A League of Their Own.

Heat is one of the all time great cop & robber movies, probably the GOAT. And I can't believe no one has mentioned The Insider from 1999 for Pacino.

You might not like it, but it was well received by viewers. Women especially loved it. As a chick flick, it's really good.

It's budget was $65 million and made $250.8 million... in 1998.

I'm kind of a movie nut, maybe there's someone else that had as good of a run or better, but Hanks is definitely up there.
