Who is your favorite NBA player, past or present, who has barely been mentioned in years. The player who most fans have completely forgotten about.

And, what was cool about that player?

anthony toney of the 6er's.

God could that guy stroke it.

Another Earl the Pearl Monroe of the Bullets and Knicks.

His playground handles and shot were memorizing.

idk about that, guard is pretty stacked right now. Beal and klay didnt make it etc. He definitely be a multiple all star guy appearance guy however and deserved a few more for his time.

I think my first favorite players were Kenny Anderson and Cliff Robinson.

I bet 95% of NBA fans don't know who Kenny Anderson is.

Oh and Rasheed Wallace of course. Even as a Lakers fan, I couldn't help but love those Pistons teams. He was my dads favorite player so naturally I liked him too.

Monta Ellis.

His ability to pick up his dribble, spin off the defender, running full speed from the freethrow line was exciting as fvck. Still haven't seen a guy that size replicate that.

A super athletic and acrobatic guard at his size

Tom Chambers would be tremendous in today's game. Was WAY AHEAD of his time as 6'10 freak athletic combo forward type. Larry Nance in terms of his two way ability and positional versatility was ALSO ahead of his time for a 6'10 freak athletic combo forward type. The league LOVED playing supersized lineups back in the day.

In today's era of positionless hoops and less physicality, BOTH would thrive big time in today's game. Chambers and Nance don't get their props for helping evolve what 6'10 and up players did on the court! Guys their size were C, PF, or PF-C types. Chambers and Nance were combo forward types at 6'10! Wasn't common at all when they broke in the league!

Tom Chambers.

Dude could score with the best of them. Could score from the inside or outside, and drive and dunk on anyone. Ask Mark Jackson about his dunks. :oldlol:

Penny Hardaway had the talent to be a GOAT PG, loved watching him until injuries robbed him of a HOF career.

Among players I didn't see play live, I'd say Jeff Ruland. If we could only find his postgame rant about the Celtics - I forget which playoffs this applied to; it actually might not be 84.

Some other favorites are Dee Brown of Illinois, Kirk Hinrich, and Juan Dixon.
