First round looked like it would be the worst playoffs ever, but the 2nd round and conference finals made up for it. I didn't watch the WCF as I am in no need to watch two small chuckers get beaten by two better small chuckers. The ECF was fantastic though, a real throwback to good old basketball.

I think the NBA should reduce the number of teams in the playoffs.

They shouldn't reduce the number of teams, but they should definitely make the first round best of 5 again

What would you rather see?:

-6 from each conference
-Top 14 in the NBA
-Keep it how it is but change first round to BO5

I will say, if they keep it like it is, they desperately need to change it to best of 5 or better, best of 3. There's absolutely nothing to gain from 7 games with a high seed against a lower seed. Never going to be any upsets.

I prefer conference for nostalgic reasons and yeah, top 6 would be fine.

Lol damn Bo3 would be EPIC. The upsets would be real.

Think about how the Magic won game 1 vs the Raps. The shift in the value of each game would be insane.

They should shorten the 3pt line as well

there's too much revenue being left on the table if they revert back to a best of 5 series for the first round.

taking the top teams in the league regardless of conference has been said a lot, and is probably the way to go.

But then you would end up with matchups like GSW vs one of the scrub bottom East playoff teams. The issue would remain the same.

But yeah NBA would never cut down the number of games.

Capitalism 101: You never offer the customer less.
Business 101 amendment: Sure as hell not if they're willing to, and already are, paying for it.

They won't go back to 5 and they won't reduce the number of teams. They will only raise ticket prices or increase the number of teams or lengthen the season or lengthen game time.
