Klay Thompson will win Finals MVP

The stars are aligning for Klay to win MVP in the finals this year. Golden State has the better team and I believe they'll win the NBA finals, Durant will miss at least a couple of games if not the entire series, Steph is usually underwhelming in the Finals and Klay is still pissed about being kept off an All NBA team. I wouldn't be surprised if he went off completely this series.

I wouldn't count out Draymond either, but it does seem like everything is set up for Klay to annihilate Finals 3 records and have a couple 40 pt games in there. Like a turbocharged Danny Green in 2013 (remember when Danny Green would've won FMVP if the Spurs had won the series?).

All it's gonna take is one off game by Steph for the voters to be looking for someone else to win it. I feel like him not winning is a running gag that the media likes perpetrating, whether he deserves it or not.

Green's much more likely to steal it since he'll probably defend Kawhi while also leading the team in rebounds/assists/steals/blocks. I can see Green averaging like 18/10/8 with 2 stl/blk and winning it due to Curry having some bad shooting nights.

Is he gonna waste it on Curry? The rest of the Warriors run hundreds of screens for him every game. I would not have Kawhi on Curry, they will just screen him to death and Raps need Kawhi on offense. They run them for Klay too, so put Kawhi on Green or Iggy and live with it.

Klay is mad overrated in the Playoffs, he was worse from three than Durant, Curry and Green in 2017 for the championship run and hasn't had one good NBA Finals. 2016 was his best Playoff run and that's only due to the first 3 rounds, he cost his team in the Finals.

People overrate him to shit. Warriors had the most dominant Playoff run and he averaged 15 ppg on 50.7%TS. He's averaging 19 on 53%TS right now and he's been the 2nd option for almost half the Playoffs.

As much hype as he gets in the media, they only allude to his two famous RS games. You'd expect him to shoot lights out with him being the 3rd guy on this team with the defenses focusing less on him than Curry/KD but that's not the case.
