I just got asked to be a brand ambassador for a craft beer company

- Free beer within budget
- travel to all the beer festivals all over the world with company
- paid travel
- promote and pour beers at venues
- $23 an hour

Best part time job in the world and it's flexible. I only have to do 6 events a month. I can easily work this around my current job. This summer is gonna be fun!!

I can't wait to bounce.

This isn't a career change for me. This is just a means of acquiring an extra skillset. I'd recommend having many skills under you belt. The right career will follow.

So just to be clear, you work 20 hrs a week and pull 6 figures as a bartender/bouncer and "business broker" (whatever that means)... yet in the OP you made a point of mentioning that you are getting a whopping $23/hr with this new "best job in the world" :oldlol:

Brokering for business doesn't require much time. You can do from home. It's easy. Take one business and introduce to another. They shake hands. You take care of the transactions. It's so simple even a walking banana like you could handle it. I only work the door or behind the bar when friends dial me up. Which is maybe once or twice a month?

I'm about to jump on a boat with other craft brewery reps and give away beer on the sunny oceans of Vancouver. Life is too good. But go ahead and obsess on the life of others. Keep it in you ISH log book of poster history.

Taking clients out drinking isn't nearly as fun as it sounds when you have consistent nights heading home after 10pm, and waking up slightly hungover for work which you go to at 9am the next day.

That's not what I do though. I travel to beer festivals and pitch beer to the public. No need to schmooze clients.

As a bonus I get a commission on the amount of beers I serve. At these events we take tokens which we can cash in at the end of the day. A certain amount taken pays out a percentage. These beer festivals are usually during the day for 4-6 hours. Except for the one I did a couple of weeks ago on that boat cruise. Think of it as a travelling glorified bartender who gets to keep leftover product.

Meanwhile, you work at your family garage fetching wrenches for your dad. I guess there's no comparison hey Godzuki? BTW, how useless is Anthony Davis?

He's trying to make the best out of a not so pleasant experience that he got suckered into doing. :lol

Sounds exciting, and I'm sure he was excited at his first few events, but you have to figure, he's standing for 6 hours straight at an outdoor summer beer festival in 100 degree humid weather with the sun beating down on him all day having to give the same pitch over and over and over. That would get really boring really quick. The kicker is, no one there wants to hear anyone talk about how special their beer is compared to the one in the next tent over. They just want to try the beer and move onto the next tent as there are 100's of beer stands at these events that need to be visited. This is his life atm. Not the worse gig, but certainly not something worth bragging about.

Hanging out under the sun serving beer is boring? Lol. You honestly think that's how the patrons are? Craft beer is a culture. These people LOVE to talk about product. I actually prefer if they move on. And when I'm not pouring I'm walking around a festival of activities and trying out other beers. Plus we take the extra product home free.

You're telling me doing that 8-12 hours a month gets old? Sure. It would be like you getting paid to hate Lebron and talk about it. And here you are doing it 24/7. Hasn't gotten that old for you :lol

I wouldn't want to be a rep. That's a little too much of a grind. But they definitely enjoy what they do. But it is a competitive space. Being an ambassador has all same.perks without the grind. Easy side gig. I'm heading over to the brewery today to try a small batch of a Pina colada IPA we're promoting. I get to take a 6 pk home plus some demo supply. Lol. And they're paying me to go there. Doesn't get any better than that!

For 6 hours a day having to give the same pitch all day long, yes that will get boring quick. It's not like you are doing any activity while drinking like say golfing for instance. And getting paid to travel is pretty much common place these days. I travel all over and obviously my work pays for it. I have my own corporate travel agent. Just pouring beer. It's not a bartender type setup. Although I have my bartending licence which you need to serve alcohol in any format.

If you have ever been to a beer festival it's just a booth where we bring a couple of all seasons and seasonals or one offs and pour into a 4 ounce beer sampler. They usually cost about 2 to 3 dollars a token. It's generally a token for a sampler. At the end we cash in the tokens we collect.

We have a portable tap which makes it easy for the bigger venues. Last gig I did was a yacht party so I had to pour out of cans. But it's better since I keep leftover product.

"THANKYOUCOMEAGAIN"
WTF are you, 14?

Do you know what a broker does? Think high end real estate agent. Which means the actual "work" is probably 5 hours a week. And I make twice as much as you

You know what equity is? I bought property 10 years ago. I paid 10 years of mortgage and my property value tripled. Banked cash.

Simple right? Wait, you're too much of an imbecile to know the difference between a server and a bartender

But yeah, keep rippin into what I do. Lol. All you show is your obsession of me. Your comebacks reek of desperation.

BTW, try the rec approach. With your looks you need all the help you can get. Really

They let him keep the fizzy part in the last 1/4 of the cans :oldlol: Boy gobbled that shit up, free's free amirite?
:facepalm
You're kidding right? Are you really this dumb?

You bring 10 flats (24 cans). You pour out 8 flats. You can split the 48 cans. And that's just one flavor.

You really think we pour out half a cans worth a day? :lol

Keep trying though

We did 3 festivals in a row and I literally have to buy a second fridge I have so much free beer :lol
I'm gonna start a side biz of late night pick up. All beer and liquor here closes by 11:00 PM. I might do a midnight service for $5 a beer. Either that or throw a massive BBQ party and charge per head

If you do make sure you at least have the guy pouring the beer doing it right. This last BBQ I was at dude had some lil neighborhood nikka doing the pours and he wasn't even tilting the glass to get a proper poor. :lol
