Or Lowry?

Or will Kawhi's fitness improve?

Kawhi isn't out of shape.

He's injured.

Dominant performance from Siakam. He had 11 consecutive field goals which is only 2 shy of the record set by Jordan in 1991.

I understand he had some foul trouble but Draymond was guarding Siakam for most of the game and for a guy who said he was the best defensive player ever he got lit up tonight.

Curry will come back stronger for game 2 and grab a win to even the series up.

Siakam is the one GSW should be doubling, not so much hobbled K Leonard.

Since the other thread about Siakam vs Giannis was a success. How about starting a new one and embrace the hate. :confusedshrug:

Better shooter = check
better finisher at the rim = check
better defender? (that's a reach but did you his block on Draymond?)
better post player = check
better mid range = check
better 3 point shot = check

The only thing Draymond may be better at is play-making. But then again with more responsibility, it will come for Siakam.

Better player. I dare you to bring but (NBA appearances). Draymond Green is a bonafide 4th option. Meanwhile, Siakam has proven to be a reliable first option on the offensive end.

He will easily surpass them on the GOAT list.

Draymond was feeling very confident coming into the series and called himself the best defensive player of all time, immediately following this Siakam drops 32 on him on 14 of 17 shooting in a historically great performance. Draymond is a great defensive player, one of the best of his era but he's not quite as dominant on that end as he and some others think.

That play where Jordan went from right to left "A SPECTACULAR play!" was part of that 13 in a row stretch.

Yeah I just think Siakam is not the opponent Draymond expects, he had better reach, length, agility, moves, defense ability, Draymond got punished.

Dunno if he cracks top 20. Solid defense but even on the court Kawhi is noticeably better.

Siakams had a great offensive game in every round. But other than that he's been somewhat quiet. We'll see if he can replicate this performance. I doubt it.

Draymond is more of a team defensive beast than an individual stopper. Iggy is more that type.

Siakam wont be 3p points every game but he will hustle play hard give you 18 points and rebound.

Toronto's bench is better than golden states. It's still a 6 7 game series I believe. If KD were playing it lifts golden state.

Kawhi doesn't have to play defense at a level to expend energy.

A quick search shows the names of players with a statline of 32-8-5 or more in the Finals with 75% shooting or better (Pascal shot 82%).

Pascal Siakam

Yeah that's it :lol Only happened once in Finals hx and of course the thing making it so rare is the 75%.

If you swap 75% shooting for guys with 2 turnovers or less and with still the same statline of 32-8-5 or more in the Finals LeBron pops up 5 times. No other player shows up more than once (only 16 times ever happened).

Anyway yeah, pretty damn rare game so big ups for Siakam
