here's some more $tats for you boys to munch on tonight.

'17 warriors
reg season: 115.1 pts/gm (#1 in nba); 115.6 ortg (#1 in nba)
finals vs cavs: 121.6 pts/gm (+6.5 pts/gm); 121.3 ortg :facepalm

'18 warriors*
reg season: 113.5 pts/gm (#1 in nba); 113.6 ortg (#3 in nba)
finals vs cavs: 116 pts/gm (+2.6 pts/gm);124.6 ortg :facepalm

In fact, the average point differential between the Warriors and the Cavs [in 2018] was the largest in NBA Finals history at 15 points. Coincidentally, the second-highest average margin of victory in the NBA Finals ever was 14 in 2014 when the Spurs trounced LeBron and the Heat during his final season in Miami.

*Statistically, we just saw the most lopsided NBA Finals ever. The Warriors swept the series while outscoring the Cavaliers by a combined 60 points, the largest Finals margin of victory ever.

2018 finals
dubs- 116 ppg
lescrubs- 101 ppg

What are you even trying to show? It is literally Kawhi's job on offense to slow the pace down when we need him to slow the game down otherwise we have no one else to do that and the pace would be uncontrollable for us.

Not even remotely close to the same thing as Bran holding every offensive possession hostage for 22 seconds to force a stat in a negatively impactful manner :lol

Stats really don't mean anything. It's about winning and who are the better winners. Not who has the best individual stats. A person who is willing to Sacrifice his person achievements for the greater good of the team is the better winner and thus player. I like LeBron because of his physical dominance but he would have way more chips if he was more willing to do this. If he was willing to play within a system instead of being the system he'd probably be the greatest winner ever behind Russell.

So to answer your question if he was willing to play within a system he would of won lots of games vs the warriors with those mediocre numbers.

kawhi slows clock down: its okay, good for the team
lebron slows clock down: bad (and you cant even explain it so you throw around buzz words)

i mean, this is the equivalent of falling flat on your face.

and why would holding a possession for 22 seconds be helpful in forcing a stat, because apparently assists are best gotten when a teammate has to hoist something up.

Bran does it every single play. Every single offensive play he holds the ball for 20s and then tries to force an assist to make his impact seem greater than it truly is. No shit if you run the same play 5 times it'll work once. Doesn't mean it's the best or most efficient play that could've been ran. Bran blatantly forces his stats by holding the offense hostage.

Kawhi only kills the clock like this when we NEED him to slow the pace of the game down. The rest of the time he plays within the FLOW of the offense and not holding the offense hostage to force the play to come out of him in order to maximize his individual boxscore (Bran ball).

The fact that Bran stans think Bran's style is efficient or impactful is amazing. There's a reason Bran's time of possession last playoffs was like 9 minutes and the next highest person was at like 4 minutes.

I apologize that I couldn't break this down into a boxscore format for you to understand.

superduper:

the term forcing an assist is senseless, every possession a team is forcing a score, so forcing an assist/score isnt saying anything, but just stating the obvious.

you need to explain whats really happening and how it hinders the team.

this is too vague.

either way, lebron handling the ball has been an absolute necessity for most of his teams and he this running clock down and then throwing a late pass has been completely unfound. teams, as kawhi did there, do that when late in a game.

you never show any actual evidence to what youre saying, and thats not surprising.

When an entire team is involved in the ball movement and in constant player movement and everybody is touching the ball when you aren't worried about slowing the offensive pace down, that is the most effective way not only to run an offense but to keep the moral and confidence of everyone on your team up.

Bran ball will NEVER allow this because he HAS to initiate every single play. He HAS to get every single assist. Bran will never allow to be within a system because that would minimize his statchasing. Bran doesn't care about the most efficient/effective brand of ball. He literally just cares about his stats and how he individually is perceived as a player.

There is a reason that every single player that plays under Bran becomes useless trash. He doesn't maximize the strengths of his teammates. He doesn't adapt to his teammates. He requires every single person from players 1-15 all the way down to the ball boy to all adapt to him. He cannot play within a system. He HAS to be the system. It's the only way he knows how and it's the reason he's nowhere near the GOAT. That and the constant shameless collusions and no competitive integrity.

A thoughtful response is good.

You don't just rile, provoke, hateful/misguided looking for a purpose... your feelings are based on a belief. And you've tried to explain what that feeling is based on. You went into detail, from the surface to beneath it.

You're still wrong as shit and misled, but, you put some time in for a coherent, mature response.

Today, you improved. Today, I am proud.
