I get why on this particular issue to be honest though.

Klay not so much but Dray is hard to rank. What is he to the Hornets or the Pistons? Hard to say. But on the Warriors hes key.

We have not seen many guys like that who help their team win titles while arguably...not being even all star good outside a perfect situation.

Its kinda like figuring out what Ben Wallace would be if teams kept trying to make him be a wing or what Dennis Scott would have been if he stayed a big point guard instead of turning into a nasty shooter. The team you land on molds you to fit its needs and you become that player. What Dray might have been as a normal small forward on like...the Hawks...it doesnt really matter I guess....but it makes you wonder you know? Guys totally lose the skills they arent asked to use. Mutombo came in a good scorer then turned to garbage with the ball in his hands....Tyson Chandler was trying to create shots at 18 feet as a rookie and playing some 3 in lineups. Totally lost all that.

You become what they make you.....Dray became a weird point center hybrid who had shooters spacing the floor and allowing him to score a bit and rack up assists....hes the right size to switch everything....has the right fighter mentality to be great on D and a personality people will follow. It doesnt matter what he turns into in a worse setting. It really doesnt.

But it does make him hard to judge. He goes from 8/7 vanishing act to looking like the most important guy on the floor at times....when you know he shouldnt be.

Hes kinda like another position less Warrior from back in the day. Billy Owens. Makes you wonder if hes really really good...or just really well rounded.

Dray is really really good for his team. I guess thats all he needs to be.

They're both great defenders and Curry has very little to do with that

Offensively it's tricky for Green, Green was a versatile player coming out of college so his versatility in the pros should not be too surprising but he was also a late pick. I didn't think he would be this good but he did show this potential in college, it was just overlooked because of his size if I remember things correctly

Klay made 41% of his 3s in 2012 as a 21 years old rookie when Curry missed most of the season and wasn't game planned like he is today, let's seriously not pretend like he would not be an all-time great shooter without Curry :no:

It's a well built nucleus. Curry's gravity helps especially Green's scoring but I don't believe he has much of a hand in Green's versatility or Thompson's shooting.

Is kinda hard to credit anyone else when Draymond has triple doubles without the points. He had a game with 4 points but like 11 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 steals and 5 blocks. Who does that? One of those rodman/Pippen/kidd hybrid games far as impact without scoring.
