View Full Version : Lol at people seeking to make Curry some sort of carry-job guy or Finals juggernaut

If a career underwhelmer in the Finals all of a sudden wins a Finals with an injured team, it's more likely that other factors allowed the win, not Curry being a juggernaut championship player..... Because we know he isn't.. :confusedshrug:

So nice try Curry fans - if the Warriors win, it's because they're still facing the inferior conference, nothing more.. they beat a team (raptors) that was swept by a record-loss team (18' Cavs)

Now I still think the Raps can win, but if they don't, I'm not going to say that Curry is a different player than he's been his whole career (not a carry-job guy; not a Finals juggernaut)

Wait so winning with an injured team is somehow a negative now? :oldlol:

And I loved these tidbits:

not Curry being a juggernaut championship player..... Because we know he isn't..
And why do we "know" that again?

Now I still think the Raps can win, but if they don't,
Keep covering them bases phaggit.

That's the least of his problems. Obsessing over a 16 year retired player and shitting on every great player since said player retired when you don't even watch basketball anymore on the worst basketball board there is is far more egregious.

You don't think I'm enjoying this?

Waiting for events to occur (lebron missing playoffs; kawhi beating the same team that lebron thought made him goat) that will back up every point I've ever made?

No, this season has been a blast

And all I need is the raps to get a lead again in this series - then it's house money from that point - they probably win the series, or durant comes back and saves the Warriors... So the odds look decent for a "win" regardless

Lot of questionable threads at the moment; I don't know if people are drunkposting after the game or even worse, if this is the best a sober mind can produce?

Stats can be instructive but not the entirety; some stats are important to know like Steph scoring 27.5 pts/game in last year's finals. It's a little hard to call someone an "underwhelmer" in the finals when they score more than they did the regular season.

But bigger picture, I know some don't like to hear it but it's true- alot of the game is not measured, from screens to help d, to passes that lead to advantage but don't lead to assists.

There have always been great players; but fans do themselves a disservice by playing blind to what makes makes them great and why their teams win. They may think this blind spot somehow detracts from that player's greatness but it doesn't; it says more about the person emphasizing their own blind spot.

He did that in the least competitive Finals of all-time

In the only Finals that were competitive, Curry lost FMVP (15'), and got severely outplayed by the opponent's 2nd option (16' Finals)

Yeah, and that's fun

I still use his moves on the court - they're more effective now than they ever were... :oldlol:

And I revel in making fun of today's game because it's a 3-point contest and a joke.. it's a blast

Honestly, I turned on the game for a few possessions tonight, a d there were so many bodies bunched up in screen roll action near the 3-pt line, I couldn't see where the ball was.. turned that shit off and resumed my TED talk..

How is Curry a career underwhelmer in the finals?

He's probably a top 15 finals player of all time. Everyone knows he should have won FMVP in 2015 (even though it's an asterisk finals).

What a sad sad existence. And insane that you spend all your time convincing yourself that any outcome is a plus for your agenda. He's broken you. Lebron James.

70+ wins + championship = the goat teamwork and team

Curry failed at his attempt and infact can't beat Kyrie without Durant, and has never outplayed Kyrie, let alone venture into top 10 status.

It's a decent try though.. B- on the troll attempt

The dubs did that and more...

'16 was over in 5 without league interference and post game penalty. (you've admitted this)

And then they went super saiyan dynasty on Ding0's back.

Currys second option rn is a second round pick. :lol lets see Jordan win with that.

GOAT.
Warriors hadn't lost 3 games all year until the Finals

So even though they would've won in Game 5 if not for the Silver rig job, they were exposed in Game 6 & 7 as not goat for being unable to close it out.. and choking bigtime, especially Dinchoke

3ball getting up in his feelings because his prediction ( winning game 2 and 3 ) didn't come out the way he planned it

it's simple really, they doubled kawhi the first game and let the noobs spill their beans

2nd game comes around and expectations are off the charts for them to do it again, they let kawhi do what he does and stifled everyone else

The fact you couldn't see this coming has me question your bball iq somewhat

This is pretty standard adjustments on ANY level of basketball and the raptors are still a bunch of scrubs that choke until proven otherwise

I haven't predicted shit in this series, except what a Raps win does to Bron's 16' luckbox

But I'm making a prediction now - Warriors must win the next 2 games or they lose this series... They also lose any game where Kawhi and Siakam play up to par - neither did last night

All this assumes no Durant

exactly why continue watching or commenting about the current NBA if you hate the way the game has shifted. And always keep referring to the past. Jordan's the GOAT already.

That's just idiotic man. Curry will have less everything compared to mj. Chips, stats, fmvp's. You name it. All while being one of the worst defenders in the game and mj being one of the best. Just imagine if curry was even better offensively while being able to defend like a healthy kawhi.

It's really not fair and not even close.

MJ doesn't have GOAT offensive gravity and shooting ability like Curry

Also winning 4 rings in 5 years is more impressive than anything MJ has ever done

bullllshitttttt

you made a post in one of these threads saying exactly what I said something along the lines of how surprised people are gonna be when the raps win games 2 and 3

I believe you also predicted the raps to take this in 6 games in one of these threads as well

no i'm not digging it up, but I also wasn't high on meth when I read what you typed

I even said I'd bump the thread because I was laughing at how silly the prediction was ( someone else go dig it up if it's so important )

Tired of this lame excuse. Didn't Green play in games 6 and 7? The Warriors had 3 games to get it done and didn't.

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't game 7 at the Oracle? If I remember correctly, Draymond played in that game. Didn't Draymond Green lead the team in points (32) and rebounds (15).

We don't know if Draymond played in game 5 that they would of won. Stuff happens and the bottom line is that Warriors lost. Then Draymond subsequently cried in the parking lot and begged KD to join to "take pressure off of Steph".

His ***** wasn't torn, ashfan. He was fine.

  @ Retards thinking that Curry hasn't been anything short of amazing during this PO run. He has a metric ton of help, but the dude has been killing it. Averaged 37/8/7 on 66% TS against the Blazers. Heck, MJ needed like 30 shots to get to 37 and Curry is doing it with 24 shots a night. GOAT shooter. No one is even remotely close. If he wins an FMVP, dude is going to be knocking on the top 10. 4 titles, 2 MVP's, and an FMVP? Yeah, that's a top 12-13 resume at the WORST.

Yea I'm the only one here who doesn't enjoy bball anymore. Sad face.

I'm not a troll who loves to watch people fail (tho I do cheer for underdog always), no fav player, no team. Just watching dudes ball what seems like a wack ass brand of bball, but every once in awhile you get a really good gm where the refs don't **** everything up and people aren't just flopping or choking.

I love competition and seeing how great people respond to adversity. The nba has been really predictable for like ten years.

Not surprising.

2015 - 26 PPG
2016 - 23 PPG
2017 - 27 PPG
2018 - 28 PPG
2019 - 29 PPG (thus far)

Brick averaged 25 PPG in the Finals and Wade averaged 24 PPG.

The top 5 are:

1. MJ - 33.6 PPG (35 games)
2. KD - 31.7 PPG (14 games)
3. West - 30 PPG (55 games)
4. Shaq - 28.8 PPG (30 games)
5. LeBron - 28.2 PPG (49 games)
