Gary Payton did make MJ take more shots, similar to how Kobe had to take more shots to equal MJ when Payton wasn't on MJ.
If a prime glove covered Kobe, he would have made Kobe look like Ricky Rubio.
Who wouldn't have to take more shots when being covered by the glove if they wanted to maintain their ppg average?

MJ shot well while getting a big 3-0 lead, so Obama is making the same mistake that got Trump elected
He's ignoring what happens when you have a big lead - you let up - just like he did along with the Democratic party after he won re-election in 2012 - they said "Obama got re-elected, so we have a big lead now and can ignore middle America and talk down to them"
Bad judgement...
Obama letting up allowed the opposing party to catch up in 2016, just like MJ letting up let Payton have some success

You don't need killer instinct when ur up 3-0 and the series is over
right before game 4 in the locker room - MJ tells a reporter:
"this is the most relaxed I've ever been.. maybe a 3-0 lead makes you more relaxed"

You know I initially thought 3ball would've taken Obama's comments as another example of how MJ is above Kobe and counted it as a W. But no. That psycho feels the need to get defensive and considers even this as a slight to the almighty MJ! :oldlol:

I'll prove you wrong real quick:
Firstly, the Sonics' All-NBA third option (Schrempf) outplayed Pippen
Secondly, MJ held Hawkins to 12 points below his average in Game 6, which was critical because the bulls WON by 12, while everyone else let their man go off (Pippen let Schrempf get 23 on 53%; Harper let Payton get 19 on 70%; Rodman let Kemp get 18/10 on 47%l)

This right here is why a peak LeBron was a better defensive player than peak Jordan. Not only could he guard multiple positions, but he provided solid rim protection, something MJ couldn't do.
I watched the '91 Finals a few years back and the Bulls actually put Jordan on Divac, poor Jordan didn't have a chance. Divac torched his ass.

Exactly - MJ did spot duty on bigs like Divac and Barkley just like Lebron, and got torched just like Lebron against guys like David West, Dirk, whoever
So MJ guarded all 5 positions just like lebron... See - it's a bullshit narrative - neither guy guards all 5 positions realistically.. people simply make the argument for lebron because he's taller
And only lebron let's role players and stars get fmvp and go bananas in the Finals.. lebron was a bad defender since 14', and before 09' - so most of his career... Nowhere near goat perimeter defender mj
.

LeBron has actually guarded All-Star caliber big men with success, can't say the same for MJ. LeBron was taller and stronger than MJ so of course he is going to be a better post defender.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AV3O94yv4vc&t=
Here he is shutting down Pau Gasol who was still in his prime. You really think MJ would be capable of shutting a skilled big man like that? :oldlol:
And we all know what LeBron has done to guards like Derrick Rose in his MVP year and other all-star caliber PGs. LeBron at his peak was a more versatile and better rim protector than Jordan, it isn't even debatable.

Phil Jackson in 2001
"Kobe's become the floor leader of a basketball team that was kind of looking for that nature of a player, who could not only be a scorer, but also be a playmaker or consistently make big plays at critical times," Jackson said. "So it was very important for Kobe to step into that role that he was envisioned at. I've always held the bar up very high for Kobe, and he's not only reached that bar, but he's jumping over the top of it right now.
"And I think it's the best that I've ever seen a player of mine play with an overall court game. I'm asking him to do so much, and he's accomplishing it."
Not saying he's greater than MJ, but Phil did say that Kobe had the better overall court game so :confusedshrug: .

So you say he was consistent from 00-04, yet use Phil's quote from 2004? And didn't Phil come out later & admit that the rape case at the time clouded his judgement about Kobe, which was around the same time he said those things about his defense?
That's the only time Phil ever dogged Kobe and I guess he got over it once it was proven that the whore's story didn't add up.

The video I posted had guys triple-teaming Kobe on the entry pass in the second clip, quite different from the defense Lebron saw in the Finals. Teams were fine with Lebron shooting from where he caught the ball but they wouldn't even let Kobe shoot a contested fadeaway.

So he gets collapsed on when he's literally right UNDER the net, 1 foot away from it max, and the claim is he got tripled in the post.
That isn't remotely similar to being tripled in the high post as soon as you receive the ball.
Nope.. try again
Please go play on a freeway, you miserable piece of shit.
These guys are clueless lmao, Lebron gets single coverage until he's in the paint :facepalm Kobe gets doubled off the ball and tripled outside the paint.
The video I posted had guys triple-teaming Kobe on the entry pass in the second clip, quite different from the defense Lebron saw in the Finals. Teams were fine with Lebron shooting from where he caught the ball but they wouldn't even let Kobe shoot a contested fadeaway.
Lebron got tripled trying to attack the rim, quite different from what happened in the Kobe clip.
Yeah, LeBron is a GOAT level passer. Brick shot less than 40% on jumpshots. Dude was a cancerous ball hog. The dictionary has a picture of his next to the word as well.
You do realize that the your lover was almost always horrific in the Finals, right? Dude was a glorified roleplayer who just took a shit ton of shots. Replace him with Stackhouse and he replicates the results on those stacked AF team.
kobes an overrated defender, but br0n don't even belong in the same sentence as defense
At their peaks, LeBron was a better defender than dad killer.
why wasn't he on duncan 24/7?
Because he was guarding another player? If he guarded player A through out a series and player B went OFF, you little ***** would be he crying about how LeBron didn't guard player B.
did he have to guard jj and jason terry or something?
Not everyone has the luxury of having a Pippen, Rodman, Grant, Harper, etc..

So we just not gon' use context, are we? Not gonna mention Harper was basically a defensive specialist role player by the time he joined the Bulls, not much of an offensive contributor (check his playoff avgs), same for Rodman, he was a black hole on offense, plus these guys were past their prime. Exactly how many All Stars do these guys have other than Pippen playing alongside MJ? What you just did I can easily do, fukk context...

talk to the stats, Kobe 12 all defensive teams, lebron 6. you could arguably say kobe was twice the defender lebron was

Uh oh RRR3... ... :oldlol:
looks like imma getcha back for that Cartwright bullshit:
Per 36
Shaq 2009:. 21.3 pts.. 60.9 fg.. 117 ortg.. 22.3 PER.. 0.166 ws/48... 2.0 bpm.. 2.3 vorp
Shaq 2010:. 18.5 pts.. 56.6 fg.. 104 ortg.. 17.9 PER.. 0.119 ws/48.. -0.5 bpm.. 0.5 vorp
Now I could do the same thing with Rodney Hood, Jamison, Derrick Rose, Crowder, Wade, Bosh, Love, Shaq, IT, Hughes, and more
Every time a guy is brought in, lebron reduces them to spot-up up shooter and asks for more help - the reduction of players' roles causes a constant need for "moar help".. it's a sad charade

so he'd already declined to 7 ppg long before MJ came back.. it's called getting old.

No because he'd already declined in NY, which is why the Knicks benched him so he could maintain his production at the lower minute level
But the bulls were thin, so they played him the same 30 min that he couldn't play anymore in NY
No one ever got worse under MJ, and the notoriety they got from playing with MJ gave them prominent post-playing careers - most of mj's teammates became prominent coaches, front office, or media personnel
We'd never talk Cartwright if he never played with MJ, and his profile wouldn't be as high to get those coaching jobs he got
