That play where he shoved mj on the inbounds and hit the shot was one of the most savage plays in nba history. Post the gif!

I think Reggie is underrated cuz people care too much about stats. Kinda like rip Hamilton.

But Reggie did choke his first finals gm. O well it happens.

Jordan came THIS close to hitting what would've been imo the best GW of his career on the very next play

Yea I checked YouTube after talking shit about it and they slo mo'd it and I was like wait he made that??! Don't remember, but then it rimmed out. But Yea mj is the goat what's new. Still even having the balls to do that. His skinny ass then splashing it. And he got a big chunk of mjs shot, amazing mj got it off and was like 1 percent off.

Edit: oops watched again. Wasn't Reggie haha. Who was that mckey? I got a small phone now..

It's an honest question - anyone able to expediently profer a list?

most wings from 88-05. it's a pretty silly question. All the same guys that defended Mj had to chase Reggie.. And I'd hope a guy with a 72-10 screen name would know who defended him on the 2nd 3peat bulls, but sadly you don't seem to.

Jah, saw the Bulls; did not Pip guard him in 94 and 95?

Anyone who guarded him ran into a dozen picks. So there were a lot of switches. I am sure that Joe Dumars chased him around plenty of times.

I'm pretty sure he had to if at least briefly, pete myers, pippen, toni, bj and kerr were the wing rotation in 94. He and Myers were the only 2 that make any sense guarding Reggie.

In 95 they added Ron Harper, and late in the season Mj. Harper actually had the assignment when Miller hit the winner over Mj in the playoffs.

thanks you. that might make sense due to Harp's 7 foot wingspan going up against a 6-7 jump shooter on the arc, similar to how they'd have to put Pippen on him a lot. Looks like he got most of the best perimeter defenders of all time.

SG-SF-PG-PF-C, everybody... in that order...

The main defender (SG) would obviously try to stay glued to him 24-7 (you had to or else its a SWISH) but that was impossible because Reggie developed early the GOAT off-ball/screen/catch-n-shoot repertoire that forced players to switch all the time... and it was not as simple as running around screens like Rip Hamilton or Ray Allen or today Korver or Thompson (which was hard enough on defenders)... but Reggie was much more tricky, trollish like nobody else before or after... dude was zig-zag pirouetting around screens with lvl 9999 Stamina and if you didnt get exhausted simply by that you would either get in foul trouble or sustain a couple of Dale Davis bruises... and Reggie would INVENT ways to trick opponents even further.... he made that screen thing into an art....

He would do stuff like accel. full speed up to like Dale Davis (screen example) and then improvise based on where the chasing defender is, like making a hard stop and make you charge into him (foul), he would sometimes run doing circles around Dale Davis, literally speaking, he would like grab Dale Davis for extra leverage to catapult himself of and confuse the defender even more, he would push, grab, flail the defender, like lock your arm around trying to draw foul... make a full stop doing the peekaboo behind the screen in & out, run, stop, run back, stop, run back again, run the other way, no, the other way... all while talking trash to you...... he would toy with you, get under your skin and he sure did that on anybody, even if you were Michael Jordan, he wanted to gouge Reggies eyes out lol.... Reggie was hilarious to watch....

There is a reason Kobe said Reggie Miller is the toughest player he had to guard... and he did guard 1996 Jordan... dude was just the most annoying & exhausting player you could guard...

Im surprised there is no "Art of screen abusing - Reggie Miller" video....

sad that you have to praise an obvious foul

even more sad that all of you think mj is this god that the refs catered too, but if someone shoved lbj like that it'd be a foul

get mad

MJ embellished, trying to get the offensive foul. Ref read it the whole way and said "not this time Mike"

Rumor has it that ref got fined $10,000 for not calling it against Reggie.

People really trying to give MJ shit cuz Reggie hit a shot over him?

I guess let’s pretend MJ didn’t legit shut him down in the 2nd half of Game 7 where he defended him for all but like 3 possessions and held him scoreless . This after Reggie was going off on the others defending him in the 1st half. 97 ECSF IIRC

not that it's relevant to this topic but I'd love to hear your thoughts on MJ's shot in game 6 of the 98 finals......

and yes Jordan was abso-f'n-lutely catered to by the refs. It's what happens when you're a superstar.

you think these 2 are comparable?

reggie is going 75% of full speed and runs his right shoulder straight into mj and then ALSO shoves him away

are you serious?

if you mean the pushoff, naw naw naw, you know Reggie shot them threes in people's eyes quite often:D

it's not like they didn't set three or four picks for him to get loose, though:rolleyes:

I mos def didn't want the thread to downward spiral into an MJ discussion when we're discussing a better shooter

One of MJ's most famous shots was a blatant push off to seal his final championship. :lol

Gotta love the pre 2010 last-shot shot selection.

Star player is gonna get it. You know he is gonna shoot it. and you plan for it. Doesnt matter about anything else. triple, quad, quintuple the guy. Hes gonna shoot it.

Kobe, MJ, Reggie. Last person alive now is Big willy lilly.
