Lakers Hire Lionel Hollins as Assistant Coach

I'm very happy with this hire. I like the diversity we have in the coaching staff now. The problem with Luke was (imo) the fact that he didn't want to reach out and grab quality assistants to help him do the job, and now we have 3 former head coaches. Literally just 3 years ago, all these guys were head coaches on different NBA teams.


Frank as the main guy, Kidd for Lonzo and Lebron, and Hollins to input that Grizzlies defense. I like the look of this so far, interested to see who else will join the coaching staff.

You do realize he coached the Lakers for 2 full seasons before Lebron was ever on the team..right? And I liked Luke.

LOL, not only will Frank Vogel need to manage the egos of his players, he's going to have to manage the egos on his staff.

Since both Jason and Lionel coached the Nets, I can say.. .they're not the easiest people to get along with. Might as well hire Avery Johnson too.
