:biggums: I understand precautions, and could see this with Durant still playing. But with the current state of the team, incredibly thin depth, Iggy banged up, Cousins still working himself into shape, unless they know something about the severity of the injury that we don't, this seems like a crazy suggestion to me

A mild hamstring injury can turn into a major hamstring injury at any sudden burst of acceleration.

He'll feel fine and be able to play a bit, but all it will take is a loose ball situation and that sucker is going to pull which means he'll be out for the series.

This is how hamstring injuries always play out.

At worst they probably end up in a best of 3 with the Raptors having home court. If they can go into game 5 tied 2-2 with healthy Klay and KD I

Curry will need a virtuoso performance tonight.

This game will prove a lot about Curry tho. Let’s see him create offense without 2 of the hottest scorers in the league.

It actually won't say as much about Curry as you think if Toronto decides to gear their entire defense around just him. Look at how shit Golden State was down the stretch without Klay last game. And Klay is no where near being as good as Steph.

Nobody wins a title alone. Nobody.

Who's he supposed to pass to? Cousins who is so out of shape it hurts me to watch him? lol, because that would be his second offensive option with no Klay and there is no clear third.

McKinnie is a decent player. Hit 35% from 3 pt range. 58% from 2 pt range. He's got a chance to show his stuff today.

DeMarcus has to step up today.

Cousins will probably drop 30/30/10 and people will still say the Warriors don't have anyone

This assumes that duranttt and Thompson will definitely play game 4. We don't know that either will. And you especially don't want to risk home losses when it's harder to win on the tosroad even at full strength.

warriors got cocky...

Now they need 3/4, and likely... 3 in a row.

Klay could've played.

Yep. Sitting him was a mistake. Should have limited his minutes. Game isn't over yet so we'll see but it does seem like they're absolutely wholeheartedly dependent on steph right now.

Limiting minutes would make little difference. It's Russian Roulette with a hamstring injury. They chose to not risk it and hope that the rest between game 3 and 4 is enough for it to heal.

My guess, he's probably done having a meaningful impact this season.

This is an asterisk finals before it even started due to KD missing games...now it's just dumb.

All because of a flop. Can't say I feel bad for him.

Yup a hamstring isn't going to heal magically in 48 hrs.

Nah the dubs clearly are so confident in winning they thought they could sit him.

He'll be moving like his regular self on Friday I guarantee.

But they ****ed up because all Toronto needs is one hot game going forward.

Sure, they're going to f around with a championship and a better spot in history because of overconfidence.

That's what you're going with?:coleman:

Guess what? He can be moving around like his old self for almost the entire game, but if he has to sprint to a loose ball or change speeds rapidly in any manner (we're playing basketball here right?), there's an extremely high chance it's gonna go from a mild strain to severe which means donezo til next year.

Dumb perspective.

A two day hiatus would make no difference by that logic. But he's a guarantee for game 4.

There's a couple games to a championship. He can rest til April 2020 after if he wants.

No, they're hoping to mitigate the risk of further injury so they can have him the rest of the series instead of almost certainly losing him by playing him tonight.

They'll probably try it out next game. They'll probably lose him next game too.

The thought (which is honestly desperate) is that the few extra days might be enough to avoid further injury.

I don't know why this is so confusing when this happened to CP3 several years in a row not too long ago.

It’s a tough call. With a L tonight they drop to a 50-30% chance of winning the series. If Klay came back and reaggrivates, probably 10-20% chance of taking it. Hamstrings are tricky. He could feel fine and it could still re-pull out of nowhere. Him coming back Friday will even be big time risky..

.With a loss tonight they are forced to attempt to play him game 4 unless it is really a lot worse than first thought.

Lowry/Green had their best game in the series. On the road no less. :oldlol:

Are they really saying that? I can understand thinking KD isn't that important seeing their record without him but Klay is most definitely needed, he's the only consistent offensive help Steph is getting
