They were up 15 with 6 minutes left and while the game wasnt out of reach, it was nearing its garbage time painfully obvious that no comeback was happening, and he got a nice 3 buckets in to pad his FG% and point total.

Only 6 of 30 points?

Scoring 15% of your points when the team was up 15 isn't padding

But scoring 62% of your points when the team is up 15 is padding, like lebron in the 14' Finals record loss

Hope that helps

difference is, br0n does this when he's DOWN 20 points with 2 minutes left in the game :lol

padding does not refer to the percentage of points scored, it refers to when they're scored.

:oldlol:

lebron did it in the 3rd quarters and even 1st quarters when they were down (apparently padding even though everyone gives 100%), Kawhi does it in the 4th...

no pad? :confusedshrug:

It's hard to call it padding 6 mins to go up 15 against Curry. You bring on the bench, dude hits 3 or 4 quick 3pters and your big lead is done. You have to keep the distance against them. Klay comes back? Even more so.

Yeah, I'm not saying the game is over, but it's definitely much easier scoring a few buckets up 15 6 mins left with only an improbable comeback making it close opposed to getting the lead yourself.

no pad? :confusedshrug:

Kawhi scored 9 points in the last 9 mins of game 3 in 2014. Every single point with the margin at 12+.

BUT... 3balls magic number is 15, regardless of the stage of the game. So most of these points weren't padding stats.

LeBron's 19 Q3 points in game 4 however.... Well these were all with the margin at 15+. So obviously padding stats.

I know 15 seems arbitrary, but arbitrary cut offs are often required when straight forward reasoning doesnt fit the agenda.

So you agree that Lebron's triple-double average in 2017 was meaningless, since he had to force JR to shoot a three with 16 seconds left down 12 points in Game 5 of the 2017 Finals? Down 1 - 3 in the series and 12 points with 16 seconds to go and he doesn't just dribble out the clock, instead he pads as much as possible to make it look like he was great when his stats were meaningless. That wasn't the only game he padded his assists in, he did it in Game 2 as well down 20 points with 6 minutes to go and also in Game 1.

You can take away the 6 points for Kawhi for all I care, we still know he's been the main reason that the Raptors are up 2 - 1 with how the Warriors' defense tries to double him all the time, leaving guys wide open from three.

But it's laughable to compare Lebron's stats in losses to anything when he cherry-picks a considerable amount of pts/reb/asts down 15+, when defenses go a bit easy on him as they are scoring with ease on the other end.

Sure... We can evaluate those lesser relevant stats.

KD padded big time and far worse in game 1.

Kobe after my own evaluations looks by far the worst excluding these garbage time or near garbage time buckets.
