While most will say MJ is the GOAT, I would say he had the most storied and greatest career, winning 6/6, and elevating the game to international stardom.

What I will say is, at their peak (which almost by definition can only be measured as performance in the NBA finals) no one compares to the play of Lebron. 2016 solidified that... but so did 2015, and 2017 if we're being honest.

Contextually speaking I think Dirk warrants a top 3 ranking. That entire run through the western playoffs was spectacular and capped off by an improbable championship over a Heat team with Lebron, Wade and Bosh, while he was surrounded entirely by veteran role players. Others had more spectacular finals statistically but again, contextually I don't think anyone really was looking at Dirk as a favorite to win the championship once the Heatles formed with the expectations that team carried.

Lebron was a net negative in 2013 Finals and infact horrible

He averaged 16 on 39% thru 3 games, while his 23 on 43% was insufficient through 6 games and needed Ray to force game 7.. lebron was completely carried and choked

Lebron's 2012 was his best Finals and statistically compares to MJ based on % of points scored (burden)..

in 2016, lebron averaged 24 and 6 TO's thru 4 games, so he needed 7 games, Dray suspension and a goat performance from kyrie to win

That's why I said others had more spectacular statlines. I'm aware of his performance relative to other FMVPs of the decade, and even compared to how he played in the playoffs that year before the finals. Bear in mind that had Dirk not won he would be lumped into the Malone/Ewing/Barkley category of superstars who never won, and at 33 it seemed like he was heading that path. I'm considering that and the fact that he was going to war against Lebron, Wade and Bosh with past his prime Kidd, Chandler, 34 year old Jason Terry, past prime Marion. I'm placing my point within that context. If you simply want to say 'who played the best' individually, then sure. I was trying to expand beyond that.
