Its not really that stupid. Auto shops recieve multiple packaged parts a day and they determine whats inside by the box's labling. They probably did not want to open the box since it was easily deemable as a mistaken shipment. I think people who like to call simple mistakes as stupid without understanding are truly the stupid ones. Its an ironic world we live in.

I always tell customers not to open the box, if they change their mind after buying something.

If you buy a used item and think that the box it comes it is always going to be the box that it came in when it was new, then you are indeed stupid. That's what happened with this situation. Never assume that a used item isn't what it is just because the outside box has nothing to do with the item.
