In 2017 we had the NBA quote of the year with Isiah Thomas giving us an amusing image of how he expected his next contract to arrive. Last year Bryan Colangelo just couldn't resist defending his collar size and in doing so helped oust the identity behind a burner account that spread sensitive information about his team.

This year's hubris-filled quote of the year has to be "Playoff mode activated", am I right? If you have another option that can compete or just want to share a runner-up from the past few months, please share so we can all have a good laugh.
