How would that look considering he was the pre-series favorite in every Finals?

Really puts things in perspective. If he goes 3/5 that means that he would have to lose 4 more Finals in a row to be 3/9. That's insane.

Jesus

Five straight trips and 0 FMVPs, 0/5 that's almost as bad as Kobe and his 1/6 run

I've always found the Finals Record an example of a statistic that implies far more than it means. Ben Taylor talks about this in his podcasts. The reason data-driven analysis in basketball gets discredited is because people misuse stats to imply something the data cannot prove.

Jordan was 6-0 in the Finals. Which raises the question: why did he only get to the Finals 6 times. Why was his performance not critiqued in the years he did NOT get to the finals. If he was such a clutch player in the postseason, he should have at least gotten to the Finals.

Winning the Finals > Making the Finals > Not Making the Finals

To view a win share once you get to the finals is highly myopic, ignoring the player's failure to gain entry to the Finals in the other years.

If you didn't get to the finals but then you go 6/6 when you do get to the finals, it simply means that you didn't have enough help to get you there beforehand.

If you do have enough help to get you to the finals and you fail 6 fvcking times, you are a loser by comparison.

Curry won't be 3/5. He'll be 4/55

If you get to the finals and lose it means you didn't have enough help to win. If you don't even get to the finals it means you suck or are busy makin Space Jam 2.

4/55 - 0/55

personal legacy looking like San Jose public housing floorplan dimensions, playboy suites

I don't think there will be a player that takes as many Ls as LeBron for a loooong time. So many things have to be replicated.

There will have to be a team that stacks the deck in the weakest conference in NBA history for it to even be possible.

If Curry can go 3/5 in an era where his main competition when 3/9, then he's a hero. That means that every time he had a team good enough to help him get to the finals, he only failed twice whereas lebron failed 6 times.

This gonna be good.
