View Full Version : No Way Durant Is Resigning Now

This feels a lot like the Kawhi situation. The team and organization tried to rush Kawhi back. He refused and left the team.

Durant was not ready to come back but was pressured by teammates and the organization. Hes done with GSW.

I agree, but they do need to add some depth. They need a third scorer, at the least.

If it truly is his Achilles, holy shit, some team is going to take a HUGE ass risk this summer that might cripple their franchise for close to a decade... and it probably will, *if* it's his Achilles.

Skilled players like Rudy Gay and Dominique did fine after tearing their achilles, so Durant should be good. Only players who rely on athleticism and have no skill decline.

Jarrett Jack already confirmed that KD, AD and Lebron will form a super team in LA.

Russell Westbrook was right. Kevin Durant is soft. If he had any backbone he'd tell everyone in that organization to f*ck off and say he's not risking any injury.

I think a good option for him is to take the player option, rest almost the whole year but prove at the end he can still play. Then look for the supermax

This feels a lot like the Kawhi situation. The team and organization tried to rush Kawhi back. He refused and left the team.

:oldlol: This is fabrication. Pop wanted to shut Kawhi down for the entire year. Kawhi's uncle kept refusing, saying he'll be back to play in a week. Two weeks. A Month. Why? Kawhi had a Nike shoe deal that needed to be renewed and players that miss an entire season worth of basketball don't really receive favorable endorsement deals. He played two weeks worth of games - these games coincided with the Nike negotiations for a new contract. When Nike told them they wouldn't give them anything more than 20 mil, Uncle Dennis walked and promptly shut Kawhi down for the season.

Spurs have always been risk-averse with their players. When prime Duncan received an injury at the tail end of the 2000 season, they shut him down for the entire playoffs despite doctors clearing him to play. They opted to play it safe instead of defending their title. When Robinson hurt his back in 1997, they shut him down for the entire season despite being cleared to play in February. Pop invented the whole resting players gimmick in order to protect their longevity. He even got fined by the NBA for resting his players on nationally televised games. Everybody in the media criticized him for resting his guys too much and now the media wants to paint a bs narrative about Pop being a Thibodeau type coach:oldlol:

Teams under the salary floor or can afford to tank next year. Which is many.

Scratch wat I said about po or full max. Just ask gs for 2yrs 80. Have a chance to prove yourself to the market for a full yr is the best option. Achilles isn’t worth risking. The warriors aren’t the raptors and still had a long window(meanwhile raptors have a few crucial players in their 30s and like one more year with this core besides the fact that it was their first finals)

This sounds like a dig on Kobe Bean Bryant
