View Full Version : Wes Unseld winning MVP is the biggest tragedy no one ever talks about.

In a league where Jerry West, Willis Reed, Elgin Baylor, Big O, Chamberlain, Cunningham, Havlicek, even Bill Russell in his last season were clearly better players. It amazes me that he won that award as a rookie no less.

The funny thing is, Unseld never even made an All-NBA Team after his MVP year in 1969.

It's insane to me that he's in the extremely exclusive list of players that have won an MVP & FMVP in their career, something even the likes of Oscar, West & Dr. J never accomplished

The word is "accomplishment".

Winning MVP your rookie year is a great feat.

Can't stand haters who didn't watch (or don't know), talk shit.
