asterisk ring. Pistons were decimated by injuries and Scott and Worthy got injured in the finals. Bulls would've still won imo because Nike was breathing down Stern's neck if you consider gifting cash favors as breathing down someone's neck.

look at that scoring load
600 of those Pip's assists were probably for MJ
Pip knows where to give the ball when it's crucial time

The Pistons were at full strength by the playoffs. Worthy and Scott still wouldn't have changed the outcome.

The right team won.
Mother Nature and Father Time are undefeated.
If you actually had followed the Lakers throughout the 80's, it was obvious that the 1991 Lakers were well past their 'sell by' date, and injured on top of that. I think the Bulls still win even if the Lakers avoided those injuries. At that point, they were the Showtime Lakers in name only by then, and the Bulls were finally figuring it all out (how to win in the playoffs).

I always took them as a part of God. Different personalities as you will but a sum part of the whole.

Siakam played better in Game 1
Pippen wasn't a superstar in 1991 or in his prime, so MJ won without a superstar cast and with a young, developing team...
Accordingly, he needed the highest Finals gamescore ever to win, and the highest combo of pts/assists in a Finals
