Kemba being the biggest....but theres also Harris, Middleton, Russell, Vucevic, Bojan Bogdanovic and Randle...with Millsap and Deandre Jordan lurking out there if anyone gives a ****.
As much as we make of Kyire, KD, Leonard, Butler, and Klay.....those secondary guys are gonna make a huge difference somewhere.
I read that the Pacers might throw a max offer at Middleton knowing the Bucks will match....but teams always take the full 10(I think 10) days to match just out of spite to tie up the offering teams cap space and make them risk losing their own guys.
Someone is gonna throw a deal at Bojan while the Pacers are stuck waiting out the Bucks arent they?
It wont make many waves but he would make a difference to a lot of teams.
You see Denver taking the team option on Millsap? 30 million for 34 year old Millsap? If not...he ends up off the bench on a good team? Thats a difference maker too.
Some GM is gonna have Deandre sitting next to him like a big signing while we all roll our eyes....
Vucevic is a 21/12/4 guy who kinda morphed into a stretch big at times. Someones gonna pay him.
Harris is this years "We got something at least....." backup plan but if he lands on the Lakers along with any of the other options it would be news worthy.
Shit JJ Redick would make a difference on a lot of teams right now and hes unrestricted. The 76ers would have a pretty wild cap number if they keep Jimmy and Harris as they claim they intend. 33ish to Jimmy and 25ish to Harris(25 really wont even do it for him...you know some team offers him 30) gets them well over 100 million just to have half a roster with Simmons needing extending this coming season. They are gonna end up paying 4 players a combined 93 million before paying Simmons. They could end up with the worst luxury tax bill in history by signing all these guys and keeping it together more than a year. Facing that...they might let JJ walk.
These are the guys who might make the real difference with KD hurt, Klay likely staying, Kyrie having nobody to team up with on the Nets/Knicks, Jimmy and Middleton likely staying to be maxed out and Leonard and Kemba the only bigtime guys with a major question mark.
We would laugh at a team for coming out of all of this with Bojan and JJ but that team would be a lot better for it.
