Patrick Ewing won this battle with 32 points on 15-21 shooting, to Shaq's 22 on 7-16. But watching the highlights (only showing the positive plays from both players) you feel nervous for Ewing. Specially after that bump from Shaq at 2:20 which sent Ewing like ten feet backwards as he tried to maintain his balance.

Shaqs actually imo a really good post defender. He got a lot of tough match ups early because he's a dare you to shoot player. You got Ewing, drob, and Hakeem all who can hit what amounts to pull up js . Nightmare match ups for him. Ewing made some tough shots and shaq got a lot or spoon feeds. That pass penny gave Shaq was straight love. When he could have just taken the lay up. I wish Orlando had stayed intact w no injuries. They just had to wait til mj retired.

That extension lay up Shaq had after that spin on ewing, over Oakley was the most o shit play of those highlights imo.

Penny and Shaq was such a fun tandem. Penny was so good, such as shame he got injured.

Ewing was a beast as well, too bad about the injuries. I guess Ewing really was a bit more like Tim Duncan than I remembered.

Also:

Penny+Shaq > Simmons+Embiid, but otherwise similar teams.

Too bad Ewing did none of this in the Finals. He got raped worse than any star by another star ever. He was absolute dog shit in the finals vs Hakeem.

And Ewing didn't run multiple times to form super teams.

Ewing has far more respect than your Bran.
