View Full Version : LeBron: "Beating Warriors made me the GOAT"

Meanwhile, Kawhi beats them without needing a superteam and in less games.

How dumb does lebron feel for saying this right now? :lol

OP has you by the balls - none of you bron stans can answer this because the only correct answer is a concession

We all knew lebron was wrong for saying it, and kawhi just proved it

As intellectually dishonest as you are, do you really think the team Kawhi beat is anywhere near the 2016 Warriors? Legit, put your MJ/Lebron obsession aside (impossible, I know) and be a normal human for once.

The 2016 Warriors has immensely more depth. Livingston and Iggy were 3 years younger. Steph had the best season of his career. Klay was healthy the entire series. 73 wins.

And quit acting like Kawhi was playing with scrubs. His team was the 1 seed before he joined. They were 17-5 when he sat. Kawhi was clearly outplayed for half of his teams wins, and debatably a third one. The Raps have loads of talent, especially defensively, which is what beat the Warriors.

This was a massive waste of time because I’m talking to a literal psycho and an alt, but it’s worth a try.

Being a great basketball player means BEING the dynasty and perennial favorite, not executing an upset 1 in 4 tries..

Unfortunately, lebron's skillset (bron-ball) cannot yield the teamwork needed for perennial favorites or dynasties.. the guy lost the Finals or was the underdog for 7 of 8 seasons alongside Wade/Bosh/Allen/Kyrie/Love - his narrow skillset (ball-dominance) simply doesn't yield great teams regardless of cast

Kawhi beat a Warriors team with a version of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson who where much better finals performers than they were in 2016.

2016
Curry 22.6ppg 4.9rpg 3.7apg
Klay 19.6ppg 3.0rpg 1.9apg

2019
Curry 30.5ppg 5.2rpg 6.0apg
Klay 26.0ppg 4.8rpg 2.4apg

Draymond out 1 game in 2016. Curry, Iggy and Bogut all injured in 2016. Durant in for a big quarter in 2019.

Kawhi may have beaten a better warriors team than lebron did, with less help and in less games.

Durant's 1 quarter in Game 5 offset the 1 missed quarter from Klay in Game 6, so Klay only missed 1 game, just like Dray in 2016.

Furthermore, Klay is a way better player now - 19 on 43% in the 2016 Finals (35% threes), versus 26 on 55% in 2019 (59% threes... wowsers)

Then there's Curry, who was hurt with 22 on 43% in 2016, versus 31 on 42% this year - so ur the one being intellectually dishonest by saying it was his best season, when you know he got hurt and sucked in the Finals

So again, it's an indictment on curry/klay/dray that they're 0-3 in the Finals without KD, if not for the Cavs' injuries in 2015.. this means they aren't championship-caliber - they literally have zero rings without KD, if not for the 15' injuries

Kawhi basically had kyrie and 3 kevin loves(Siakam, Gasol , Ibaka). Siakam had a better playoff/finals performance than love ever had. And keep in mind cavs were typically better in the finals with love off the floor due his defense. Those 3 didnt have that problem:pimp:

Except Kyrie > Lowry

5-time all-star Love > no-all-star Siakam

JR = D Green

old Gasol = TT

Van Fleet = Shump

It's basically Kyrie/Love > Lowry/Siakam, and the "others" cancel out

TT played great D in the 16' Finals - ur just choosing to have a short memory

TT was at 10/11 with a block, versus gasol's 12/7 with no blocks

And you can't blame Love for getting"Bosh'd" by lebron-ball... :facepalm

Lowry has led his team deep into multiple playoffs, Kyrie as the man only won one game in the 2nd round.

You didn't answer my question? Here's another one. How many points did the Raptors beat Golden State by at the Oracle with out Kawhi this past season?

Lebron's GOAT quote was stupid and disrespectful to players that came before him, but you're a hater. Aren't you suppose to be a Lakers fan?

Now KD is not there in 2019 and all of a sudden they “don’t have depth and are not a 73 win team”

One of the biggest agenda catch 22’s ever coming into formation here

Either Leonard > LeBron or Leonard and Bron’s warriors wins are both asterisks
