Crazy. Would have never guessed this.

Pascal faded a bit as the finals went on, but he seems like a guy who's just scratching the surface of what he could be.

It’s a modern era thing like all playoff totals records.

Plus like all other playoff total records it’s made more likely by being less dominant.

Shaq/Kobe from 01 cant make this list because even with 29ppg each they don’t have the totals due to nearly sweeping the playoffs. Not to mention a 3 game series in there from before all rounds were 7 games.

These kinda records can’t really include most of history for these reasons.

It’s a fair contest from 04 or so on but even then you can’t do it if you win series too easily. Two guys at 30ppg each sweep the playoffs it’s not even close to making this list. You have to score a lot and lose some games to do it.

Playing better would hurt your chances by ending series too soon.

TNT/ESPN love using obscure and usually misleading stats to create the narrative of the moment. Siakam was great and so was Kawhi. A basketball fan would know this if they watched the games. "Playoff total" stats are garbage, but ESPN is just trying to tell you in numbers how great they both were... even though the numbers are misleading.

After the finals they kept throwing weird stats like "First team ever to win the finals in 6 games from the East with first year coach and former MVP joining team in their first year"

They won the east too easily. Given 3 more losses along the way scoring at the same rate 16 LeBron and Kyrie would be #1. But they played 21 games to the raptors 24.

I imagine all things being equal rules wise Baylor and west would be though.

Interesting fact:

Shaq and Kobe are 5th behind Drexler and Olajuwon
