Following the 2018 playoffs, trading those young assets for a guy that missed an entire year ... it was a huge gamble mortgaging your future for a possible one year rental.

Toronto was desperate and was blowing it all up anyway. So in retrospect it was stupid but only in retrospect.

Toronto took a light gamble that paid off. They weren’t winning shit with Demar and Lowry as your best players.
