Literally nobody said that after the Finals. Hell, most probably stopped claiming that after they fell behind 3-1 in the WCF. You're 3 years too late with this thread

No one ever apologized or admitted they were wrong.. they just moved on and said "well, they'd win with durant!!!!" herp derp

How dumb are you guys... Shameless with your dumbness

It's like, "welp, we were wrong and clearly didn't know 2 bird shits what we were talking about, but let's move on and pontificate on something else"

Furthermore, the media still acts like the kd-less Warriors are formidable.. they still cite lebron beating them as some goat accomplishment, as if beating a couple splash Bros that can barely dunk is a big deal.

2016 version would have
Curry was hurt in 16' with only 22 ppg in the Finals, versus 30 ppg in 19'

Klay was less experienced with 19 on 35% threes in 16', versus 26 on 59% threes in 19'

Dray was suspended in 16', but played every game in 19'

Durant boosted the Warriors in Game 5, but didn't play in 16'

Iggy and Bogut were hurt in 16', and basically the same in 19', but the Warriors had boogie/Looney, who were upgrades over their 16' counterparts (despite being banged up themselves)

So the 19 Warriors were much better than 16' Warriors

KLove was hurt and played with concussion symptoms and missed a game. JR Smith was the 3rd option

Love was fine

And obviously, anyone could get 8 ppg, but lebron needed a 20+ guy to reduce to 8 ppg - that's the extra talent that bron-ball needs to offset its suboptimal teamwork and reduction of teammates

The Bulls improved defensively when MJ quit the first time. The Bulls literally had to have MJ quit in order to play optimal defense

Okay, back to your point about Love

He had a concussion and was reduced in the series

But that doesn't offset the unanimous league MVP being hurt, and actually shows how weak those 16' Warriors were/how strong the Cavs were:

the Warriors couldn't win despite Love coming off the bench, and the Cavs were so stacked that Kyrie could step up and produce more than any 2nd option ever has

Curry actually played better vs OKC in 2016 than the finals this year. Five less minutes.

There's actually more rest in between finals game than the WCF, so the extra rest should have benefited him.

Well apparently it didn't, and the extended action caused Curry to go from dominating Westbrook, to being locked up by Delly..

Utah is 4-8 in the Finals against the most unbeatable Finals teams ever (6/6), while the kd-less Warriors are 8-10 against Le3/9 and a Canadian team

The Warriors Finals comp is the weakest ever, and is less than Utah's western conference foes that Utah swept (shaq's 4 all-star Lakers and Popovich/Duncan/Robinson's 56-win Spurs)

In short, Utah faced much tougher comp and a tougher league than the Warriors facing a "JV" conference in the Finals.. So Utah destroys the kd-less Warriors, like everyone else does
