I think it would have been way cooler if Neo figured out a way to destroy all the machine and humans took back the earth. Instead he sacrfices himself to be a Norton Antivirus for a ****in all powerful AI. Stupid.

As someone who wasn't a particularly big Matrix fan after the first movie, I fully support a soft reboot. There are so many stories that can be told, and so much more world building that can be done, I think it's well worth it. It was disappointing to see how the series panned out, especially given how great some of the ancillary media attached to the movies were. Hopefully they can recapture some of the magic from the first movie.
