Please somebody send this VERY interesting clip of a 6'1 200 pound unathletic 40 y/o John Stockton schooling Gilbert Arenas's as! and the young Warriors wayyy back in 2002:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HD_tcfiFupM
LOL!!! Check out the basketball IQ and FUNDAMENTALS on Stock on offense and DEFENSE, still at 40 y/o knowing exactly what spots he needs to get on the floor to execute his game, something sorely lacking in today's dumbed down NBA ALL ATHLETICISM NO BRAINS NBA!
What Stockton in his prime would do in the present soft offensive rule enhanced NBA would be ABUSIVE!!! Think of a 2 way more rugged Steve Nash.

Stockton at 40 was 14/10 per 36 and as you can see, fully capable of impacting the game against the 'advanced' athletes of the early 2000's.
But ya know, the game nowadays is too fast and athletic for these slow ass white boys....

Here's another one of Stockton dusting off absolute PEAK Jason Kidd and the East Champion Nets in 2003:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkooT86CQu8&t=201s
By the way he also played all 82 games in 2003!
Not only is a 40 y/o Stockton more fundamentally sound than 99% of the modern AAU buddy buddy dumb as a rock "load management" NBA but he is also smarter and tougher!!
Honestly watching these two clips just brings tears to my eyes because you'll NEVER see a player like Stockton again. Have fun watching Gilbert Arenas like offsprings like Russell Westbrick for the next 50 years!

Here's Jalen Rose, the ONLY GUY probably qualified to talk about comparison between eras as he played from 1994 to 2007 against prime Jordan, Kobe, McGrady, Pierce, Iverson, Allen, Carter and that scrub Arenas breaking it down:

He's nowhere near as athletic as some other top tier SFs you limp-dicked cuck. You got assholes on this board all day long( like you) talking about Craig Ehlo and Jeff Hornacek just like you did, equating athleticism with ability and yes, they're singled out for being white. You weren't alive for most of what you rattle on about.
Now kindly fukk off and go fillet some fish.

Here are little unathletic Jeff Hornacek's averages against the mighty VERY ATHLETICALLY GIFTED 1997 Lakers in the West Semis:
16ppg
6 rbs
6 assts
1 stl
The Lakers had very modern players in Shaq, Kobe, Jones, Van Exel, Horry and Fisher and Horny still put up numbers ABOVE his regular season averages.
By the way those VERY OLD AND UNATHLETIC Jazz teams wiped the floor with Shaq and the Lakers in 1997 and 98 in large part because of fundamental execution and the NBA still allowed PHYSICAL DEFENSE!!!
Jeff was still giving you 12ppg on 49% FG and 48% from 3 point land at 36 y/o in 2000.
Some people actually think the NBA has EVOLVED over this past 20 years when in fact it has just gone painfully and wrongfully sideways.

Who the hell cares about this? They are not even on the same planet Stockton and Arenas. Even when John was 40.
Arenas is like LaVarr Ball, say some stupid shit and get all the attention. Please stop giving it to him, we want less, not more.

You're right Leb, I'm just having fun and it is always nice to remember how great John Stockton really was.
Honestly, can someone here post the Stockton clip in Arenas' Twitter account to see what he has to say, he's probably forgotten by know with all the sh!t he's smoked the past 20 years!

Prime Jordan didn't play in 1994. He chose to quit the league due to mental fatigue.
The 95 season when MJ came back with 17 games left, the Bulls didn't play Denver so he didn't face Rose.
The 96 season Rose only played 1 of the 2 games Denver faced Chicago
The 97 season Rose only played 3 of the 4 games for a total of 40mins.
Safe to say Rose barely faced prime MJ

Jalen played in the mid 90's up to 2007, something Arenas can't say. He saw the changes in physicallity, the high schooler/one and done infestation, the removal of hand checking, the introduction of the made up "pseudo zone", the offense altering rules of 2005 etc, played against the last two teams to 3-peat in the 90's Bulls and 2000's Lakers. He knows his stuff.
Thank God he didn't play prime MJ, here's what happened when he faced him at 39 y/o:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1K1LZyj3ap4
The guys that came into the NBA from 1980 to the early 90's were probably the last generation to be schooled on the cerebral and fundamental nuances of basketball FIRST which they later merged with their all-world athleticism which is the way is supposed to be and the league was NEVER BETTER.
The players that have come up post 2000 are impressed by cross-overs, hops and 3 pointers, that's it and the NBA was literally FORCED to change the rules to DUMB DOWN THE GAME and accommodate this lack of basic understanding of the sport. They basically looked at MJ's athleticism and decided to ignore the subtleties that made him the GOAT.

It always amazes me how those "too cool for school" post 2000 "keeping it real" players always have the wink wink street attitude when talking about white "unatletic" players from the 90's and how some people let them get away with and subscribed to that stupid narrative.
Let's see Stockton come out and say "I was too smart, tough and cunning for those dumb soft early 2000 BLACK players" and see how that goes over!

I was going to say just that. What's the point of the thread? Stockton was 50 times the player that Arenas was. I'm not surprised to see that - even at 40 - he torched Arenas.

Here's another little video of 38 y/o Stockton and Malone going wire to wire against a young Dirk (who blitzed Kobe, Durant and LeBron in 2011 and was still playing in 2019), Nash and Finley during the first round of the 2001 playoffs with Donyel Marshall, Bryon Russell and John friggin Starks are their other best players:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HxzoFWJzfc
The Jazz would've swept the Mavs had Marshall caught a simple Stockton dish off!
In the immortal phrase from English Football, "form is temporary, class is permanent"!!! Modern players have the form, those 80's players had the eternal and transcendent CLASS!!!

To be fair this was the 20 year old rookie version of Gilbert Arenas. He was a 2nd round draft pick so pretty much a nobody at that time. And the Warriors were also trash finishing with a 17-65 record the year before. He had 16pts and 7ast on 50%FG that game before fouling out.
Props to Stockton though he did have a great game even when he got older

Bro, Bran stans are literally calling THIS, in your picture, a superteam in order to prop up Bran.
And then they turn around and say Bran has never played on a superteam.
