See that's the thing - practicing 3-pointers takes 1 off-season, or could even be acquired mid-season - it's just taking a few hundred jumpers off a rack

Otoh, 2-pointers are scored in infinitely more diverse ways - it's real basketball - and therefore can't be practiced or acquired over a short period of time

So you made my point in highlighting the difference between real basketball and gimmicky shit that can be acquired in one off-season

Mikey final three season - 24%

Wow is this true? As soon as the 3 point line was no longer shortened he shot 24% for 3 years?

Can anyone confirm this?

Did you know that Westbrook has the postseason record for most three attempts in a half (15) and game (19)?

Wow you weren't kidding I thought it was just a troll.

Jordan really shot 24% from 3 as soon as the 3-point line was no longer shortened at WNBA distance and moved back to NBA regulation distance

^^^ That's what happens when players get used to threes at a shorter distance and all of a sudden the line gets moved back 4 feet - you'd understand this better if you'd played at least varsity ball, but you're a scrub.. :confusedshrug: ........

how much volume did MJ shoot that year in 98'?

Because he was always a good 3-point shooter anytime he had volume and wasn't just taking bailouts - he attempted less than 1.5 threes every year except for 90' and 93' where he took 3+ attempts and shot 37.6% and 35.2%

He was also good anytime it mattered (43% on 3.3 attempts in 91-93' Finals... 39% on 3.8 attempts in 91-93' playoffs... 35.2% on 2.2 attempts in 85-93' playoffs)

Essentially, MJ had goat form and was a natural, so he was good at threes anytime he tried or it mattered, despite not practicing...

Ordan wasn't skilled enough, the league average barely changed after the line was revert back, 36% to 35%. Shooters like Reggie went up.

MJ only shot bailouts at the end of his career with no volume

He took three years off after 98 to work on his three's, no difference.
