How come when I took sexual herbs, it doesn't do anything?

I noticed GNC sells supplements for male prostate. But do they work? I've tried stuff in the past out of curiosity. I've tried the horny goat weed, L Arginine and many things. I can't say that any of them did anything. Why is that? Aren't they supposed to work when you take them? What about Saw Palmetto Berries?

Also, I heard that Ginkgo Biloba was supposed to give you superior brain power. I didn't feel anything every time I took it.

I will say that I do feel a jolt of energy when I take something like Ginseng or Green Tea. But I don't want too much of that because it makes it hard to sleep.

But I don't understand how there can be so many herbs out there that say they do something, but you can't tell.
