They expose that there are way to many teams in the NBA.

Just aren't enough stars to go around.

The league should contract back to pre-1996 number of teams.

the salary cap still makes it hard to build without stars and there are only so many stars. the guys who are the most overpaid are the low tier all star/high tier role player types. Look at mil. if they want to keep their starters together, they're going have a comical luxury tax and they'll still be less talented than last year with no mirotic and maybe no hill.

A hard cap is the first step. This luxury tax thing is bs.

Then get rid of contract limitations, let teams pay one guy all of the cap and then only minimum contracts if they want.

Let bad teams overpay.

the problem then is veterans taking paycuts to play for the best teams. You're getting a big amount of value there.

Still think it would be better.

It isn't that there aren't enough stars, it's that such an incompetent organization pretty much lucked its way into 3 superstars in the span of the year.
