A Kemba-lite player as his second option?
All LeBron needed was a worse version of Kemba Walker and that was enough to win a championship and beat a 73 win team?

It goes without saying but you're full of shit. Walker could well replace Irving adequately but he doesn't defend as well and statistically he's less efficient. If Irving wanted to commit to the celtics he would be getting signed.

Who would you rather have on the Celtics?

2004 - missed playoffs
2005 - missed playoffs despite the East all-star center on his team
2006 - 2nd round elimination
2007 - 2-seeded Cavs beat 1-seeded Pistons to make Finals (lebron averaged 21 on 41% outside of game 5; 25 on 45% overall)..... then 22 on 36% in Finals sweep loss
2008 - 26 on 35% in ecsf loss
2009 - loses with 60-win 1 seed
2010 - loses with 60-win 1 seed (record - no one ever lost with 60-win 1 seed for two straight yrs)
Then said "fck this, I can't handle being such a loser" and teamed up with the #2 and #4 players in PER aka the best small forward and shooting guard in the league

Who would you rather have on the Celtics?Ignoring the unquantifiable (leadership, personality and chemistry issues) I take Irving because he has greater abilities on the defensive end. Thr way things went for the CS does make me miss him less than I normally would a player of his caliber but I'm not sold on him being too blame for the Celtics coming up short in the regular season.
Should have been better against Milwaukee though.
