Won't play next season.

May never return to form.

I don't get it.

And you better believe the Warriors are ECSTATIC that he's leaving.

The Warriors love that he's gone.

That pity max they offered won't destroy them now.

Because the average NBA fan is very simple and stupid.

Can you imagine the sigh of relief the Warriors have right now?

This move literally saved them.

KD may never be a top ten player again.

They say only Dominique returned to previous form after that injury.

Rudy Gay did as well. Basically, anyone with half decent skills returns.

As the biggest and best Warrior fan here, this has to be great news for you.

Wait, Gay is a difference maker now?

Maybe as like a 5th option or 6th man.

And not in a max contract.

You were talking about returning to previous form. Now it's which option you are on a team? Stick to the agenda babyboy. Rudy Gay successfully returned and pretty much had the best year of his career this past season. Players with slightly above average skill can return, players who rely on athleticism can not.

80% of his old form could still be an all nba guy

May return to 80%.

Sounds like a great max contract.

brooklyn's front office must be PISSED the snake played those handful of minutes in the finals.

their dynasty was derailed before it even got going.

no guarantees that kd comes back near full strength.

Yep.

Sucks for them.

I would've enjoyed seeing him healthy in the East.

Luckily KDs game isn't predicated too much on strength and athleticism he just shoots over folks

He will be fine

So you don't watch KD.

Not surprising.

Dude is the most lethal 7 foot ball handler of all time; relies on it to get to his spots.

A lot of lateral movement with his crossover and change of pace drives.

OP already making excuses.

Excuses for what?

I want the NBA to be competitive and for the best players to play AGAINST each other.

It's irrelevant either way. The warriors are finished

No he won't. It's an Achilles man and he's 30 plus. He'll still be good but he'll be no where near the same player

The nets trainer is his friend, and was the one who performed the achilles surgery for Durant, we wouldnt have offered him max without knowing that there is a serious chance he will still be good.

I'm sure he's optimistic but no one comes back the same player. He'll be good but no where near the same guy. 23-25 pts a game on 47% shooting at best.
