Damn. Lakers better somehow land Kawhi or they’ll be left with crumbs after all the other teams finish feasting. Though I think Russell is the backup plan

With the Brogdon trade, despite retaining Middleton and Lopez, the Bucks have slide to third in title odds behind the Lakers +200 and Clippers +600.

First time I've heard this.
obviously...

Dude was in trade talks for Conley mid-season. Was in trade talks to move up into lottery in this year's draft. etc etc. https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/nba/pacers/2019/06/19/pacers-aaron-holiday-remains-demand-when-teams-talk-trade-around-nba-draft-free-agency/1507363001/

Guess Indy just felt he's not quite ready to start yet and wanted a proven starter for this season, since they probably feel they can still compete in the East.

At least they didn't lose Brogdon gainlessly, but I'm hoping those draft picks are just placeholders to trade for an instant-impact player. As payroll-friendly as rookie contracts would be, the Bucks are in win-now mode wherein draft picks are useless at face value with the team's possibly time-sensitive title-contention window.

On the flipside, they can now affordably re-sign Hill and hopefully use the traded-player exception for another solid pick-up. As appreciative as I was of Brogdon, I didn't want him at that risible price. Top-end shooter, but he's too tunnel-visioned to be a serviceable back-up Point Guard.

I'm happy to have Lopez and Middleton back as a corollary, but it'll take much bigger follow-up moves to justify this trade overall.

Dlo and Danny or Beverly and Danny. Danny is rumored for the mavs now however

Danny was trash anyways. Bev is a pretty decent choice for a team void of PG and defense.

A trade piece with a rookie contract is valuable throw in commodity. Hot shit would describe Brogdon.

He probably didn't want to come here, would have cost a future #1.

hmm...I'd say Brogdon is PROVEN shit.

I guess I define "hot shit" as something new or upcoming. But I guess that's maybe due to ppl saying "new hot shit", which I didn't and maybe should have, since I've never heard "hot shit" referred to as anything besides something new or just an arrogant asshole lol.

But anyway, you rye you rye

they will give him a new contract.

Brogdon move 100% IMO was a bad move -

BUT Milwaukee is sneaky , and may think his plantar Fascistic is worse then anyone knows.
I have it , and I can no longer run.

Plantar fasciitis is not an incurable issue. You just need the right insoles and it takes care of itself.

I got it 15 years ago , and still living with it...

But you know more than me.

Did you know if an operation occurs , if a repair is done , your foot is num for life ?

By the way my insoles cost $600 a pair.

Losing Brogdon is really a huge lose.
But I more I think about it , I really think he is damaged goods.
He might need to go under the knife for his feet , and no feet usually means no running if not you loss speed and jump.

We will see how he does next two years and see if Indy stole him.

Pacers have had an interesting couple of days. They lost Bogdanovic, paid a hefty price for Brogdon, and made a great signing in Jeremy Lamb at 3/30. Not much talk about this signing, but the Pacers made out. Lamb is a very nice, versatile, athletic player.

Still wondering what else they'll do at PG (Brogdon is listed as a PG, but he's really a scoring guard. He's no floor general), but this team will be very sneaky next year with Victor coming back.

Yeah, I'm still pretty big on Indy, if only b/c of Oladipo (and maybe Turner and/or Sabonis transcend to near-All-star levels, or if Leaf/Bitadze becomes something off the bench). But Oladipo, Brogdon, Sabonis, M Turner, A Holiday, McBuckets, Lamb is a real nice core, young or not.

I think they're still #3 seed quality in the East. Could also be #6 seed, tho... :confusedshrug:

One book-keeping note that I don't think is out yet: the first-round pick Indiana sent to Milwaukee in the Malcolm Brogdon sign-and-trade is lottery-protected from 2020-2025 (six drafts!) and then unprotected in 2026, sources say.
