Srry Bostonians

Snagging Kemba on 35 per is Ainge's slimeball way of politely telling fans 'rebuild'. :( Lets just tell it how it is C's fans

Danny had to make a move to calm the hurricane b4 Ky n Al bounced, any move. So he backed up 2 Brinks for an 8th season, 12 career playoff game, Kemba Irving jr.

Hayward + Walker 65m year...... Davis + Lebron 55m year :kobe:

Diet Coke Kyrie 2.0 + Mormone Gayward leeching 60% cap = 1st rnd treadmills

Re-evaluating the IT trade:

2018 review: Cavs W
2019 review: Cavs W
2020 review: Koby Altman awarded Nickolodean fleece award. Operation: Amber Alert Altman

Boston gonna be fine. Need to fill out the roster still, w/ some bigs, but Tatum, Jaylen, Kemba, Hayward, and Smart is still a Top 4 team in the East.

Just have to see how they fill out that roster to really project how they could do in the playoffs.

That's Boston's story. They are just fine. Treading water and never being great.

The fans are damage controlling and trying to spin the positives but Ainge just flat out failed. When you have 4 extremely desirable picks when Butler and Paul George are requesting trades and the following year Kawhi does and you get none?

We can now look back at the Nets heist and see what they have to show for it. And its just being team on the outside looking in and isn't a real contender.

Easily.

Brown and Tatum will get better as will Hayward.

Interesting

That too was heavily echoed 24 months ago about Hayward and Irving

"clearly they'll explode and prove more successful under Stevens guidance" - Yikes

>literally implode offense and isolate themselves from team:lol

Nope, getting more stot attemps in the absense of Irving and Horford next sz does coorelate to growth. 2005 Kobe has endless campire tales on that subject

Not sure what sports media you're listening to or reading, but its the Celtics fans around here who are running damage control because that's what they've always done. Homers to the end.

As for the media...SportsHub hosts are ritually bashing any caller who calls in trying to say that the Celtics got better here. I know because I listen to them pretty much all day in my office and there's no shortage of local dumbasses who try to play the "YA THIS IS SULLY FROM DAWHCHESTUH, KYRIE AIN'T EVEN DAT GOOD KID!" thing. Every host is basically hanging up on them.

Jackie M, Bob Ryan, Dan Shaugnnessy...none of these people think the Celtics did great here. Most of the folks on NBC Sports Boston and NESN think the Celtics just watched their window close right up with Al and Kyrie moving on.

I tend to agree with that. Once this team fills out they're just going to be okay. They'll be fun to watch and they'll win some big regular season games here and there and that'll be it. 1st-2nd round playoff exits every year.

Kemba is welcomed with open arms. He'll be a better fit than Kyrie.

I'm curious what we're doing about a big man though? We need to address that. Idk how I feel about Robert Williams getting big minutes in his second season.

He hasn't failed at all. Butler's trash and a locker room cancer, and who says George and Kawhi stay? F*ck 1 year, I'll take guys that contend over 5 years than 1 year and go back to obscurity, especially with what those teams were asking for.

Only casuals and idiots said that. Any smart person knew Kyrie = toxicity = failure.

Also, don't expose yourself as one of those casuals/idiots by using meme arrows. Not a good look.

Man, how things change fast...

A couple of years ago, the Celtics had more assets than any team in the league after all the picks they got from the Nets in the KG/Pierce. They should have a championship to show for it by now...

The Nets were gonna be in the dumps for the next decade.
Now the Nets have a brighter future than they do.

Didn't try to trade for Anthony Davis or Kawhi.. tsk tsk Ainge

That's your mentality? Who knows if they will stay so don't make a move and stay put? The thing is you aren't a contender though. The Sixers and Bucks are leaps better than you. The pacers are arguably better. If KD joins back for the playoffs the Nets would shit on Boston in a series. The Pistons and Heat are looking nice.

The spurs just wanted Brown and a pick. Indiana wanted two picks and a starting player. Not exactly going to send you back to obscurity when you had so many assets.
