Certified GOAT.
Should LeBron have taken permanent load management in his 17th season like MJ?

I tried to find his 17th season stats but couldn't find them :confusedshrug:
All I found was his year 15 stats
21-4-4 on 42%
So maybe in year 17 he would do
16-3-3 on 38% :confusedshrug:

6/6 in 15, that makes a ring every 2.5 years. Lebron barely has 2.5 rings.

As others have pointed out, he is only 3rd best on his own team if Kawhi joins.

He's 34 and wasn't even a top 5 player in his 16th season while Kobe was arguably 2nd best after peak Bran in his 17th season.
"nearly the best player" doesn't finish 3rd team All-NBA.

Getting humiliated at his own camp by Wall Street CEOs
superduper

He was so good that he needed to shamelessly collude in his prime with two other superstars (on two separate occasions ) in order to even be remotely relevant.

2004 - missed playoffs
2005 - missed playoffs despite the East all-star center on his team
2006 - 2nd round elimination
2007 - 2-seeded Cavs beat 1-seeded Pistons to make Finals (lebron averaged 21 on 41% outside of game 5; 25 on 45% overall)..... then 22 on 36% in Finals sweep loss
2008 - 26 on 35% in ecsf loss
2009 - loses with 60-win 1 seed
2010 - loses with 60-win 1 seed (record - no one ever lost with 60-win 1 seed for two straight yrs)
Then said "fck this, I can't handle being such a loser" and teamed up with the #2 and #4 players in PER aka the best small forward and shooting guard in the league

That awkward moment when people who just recently got into basketball think Chris Bosh was a small forward.

good for one cramp and one phantom elbow/hand injury per every superteam he's on.
good for a lot of freethrow bricks too.

So who you got second in 2013? Kobe finished top 5 in MVP voting and was 3rd in scoring (ahead of Lebron) while also averaging more assists than both Melo and KD. He was averaging 30 ppg throughout the first 40 or so games before taking over point guard duties due to all the injuries, he led the Lakers to a top 3 record post-ASB.
Kobe post-ASB - 28.5 ppg 7.0 apg
Lebron post-ASB - 25.8 ppg 7.9 apg
KD post-ASB - 26.1 ppg 5.1 apg
Melo post-ASB - 28.8 ppg 2.2 apg
There's a case to be made for Kobe as the 2nd best player in the league in 2013 and you know it, he was clutch as ever down the stretch when every game was a must win to make the Playoffs and had some of his best games of his career, 47/8/5/3/4 in his last full game healthy.

So not sure when MJ passed Kareem as far as 2way players go

Lebron had three primes.
2008-2010 could not make a good playoff run with that weak ass supporting cast.
Miami Lebron gained a lot of weight started playing under the basket a lot of bully ball became a better shooter and played elite defense. I consider this his best prime
Second Cleveland stint Lebron. What he did to those Warriors in 2016:facepalm. Even two years later how he swept the first sweed Raptors:wtf:
