Same Achilles injury, why they assume Cousins wont be same player? But they all assume Durant will return pre-injury form?

Has Cousins ever been anything other than a borderline top 15 player in the league?

Cousins is an old school Center. The league has moved on, and his style of play/skillset is not in demand anymore.

But he is younger too. Only 28 years old.Pre-injury he was putting 25.2 ppg, 12.9 rebound per game, and 5.4 assist per game.
If he returns to half his form, he should at least get offers of 10 million.Seth Curry got 8m ffs!!!!

Threads like these make me wonder how some of you can manage the brainpower to actually operate a keyboard or touchscreen effectively.

That isn't as big of a factor IMO than the fact that Cousins straight up is nowhere remotely close to Durant as a player. But still I disagree with what you said because Cousins is a lot more versatile than that. Anyone who is capable of demanding a double team every single time he touches the ball is extremely valuable. Not only that, he also makes some very high IQ and unselfish passes when he does see the doubles. He's just not at all a leader.

I've been saying it but I'll say it again, Demarcus Cousins is the Shareef Abdul Rahim of this generation. Great stats, the talent is there, but he does not play winning basketball. Actually, if it weren't for the achilles injury, he would have never made it to the finals. Usually that would make no sense but for Cousins, it makes sense :lol

Also...teams play better without him. The Kings this season posted 39 wins...that's more than any single season with Cousins on the team. That's pathetic. Not to mention when he got injured on the Pelicans, the team ended up having a better record without him than with him playing.

And on top of ALL of that, he tore his achilles and we know what a dangerous that injury is for any player, let alone a heavy set player like Cousins...it's just a horrible circumstance for Cousins at this point. He's lucky he's had the opportunity to already sign a big contract, guy has already made $84m throughout his NBA career. Could be worse, look at IT3.

Cousins was looking a lot like his old self before his quad injury. Big men with lower body issues aren't that hot and especially not in this era, but not even a MLE??? Cousins Post-ASB averaged 18/9/4 1.4 stl 1.7 blk on above 50% shooting in just 27 minutes a game and he was a 3rd/4th option. He could very well be the biggest steal in this FA.

Is he good? Can he spot up?

Can the Lakers/Lebron get him?

He's a cancer and hates everyone, that's a factor. He's slow and he keeps getting injured. He didn't do himself any favors in the playoffs and was pretty much a joke there.

Nets are going to regret this max deal.

Cousins came back like absolute shittttt

They're banking on Durant being a once in a generation talent?

Only time can tell.

Same Achilles injury

Was it the same leg?

In KD's case, I think it was the right leg, so it's supposedly less of a concern than if it had been his left leg.

He's still pretty much a 20/10 guy given starter minutes(check his per 36 this year). The fact that there's little market for him says more about the nature of today's game moreso than any indictment against him in particular. I mean he's not going to lead your team to a title as the first option but....he's a 20/10 bigman with a fair jumper and good passing skills. That doesn't grow on trees even if the league is perimeter-oriented now.

We can spin this all we like, but 3.5 m for this guy is too low. When JJ Redick gets 16 m.

Durant was the best player in NBA in 2018 and 2019, Cousins who?
