This is true, actually.

A ring with 'just' AD would carry much more clout than a ring with AD + Kawhi.

Yes, a ring is a ring at the end of the day. But for someone who wants to seen as the GOAT, and for his stans who want him to be seen that way, winning a ring with both AD & Kawhi on your team isn't going to move the needle. Won't get it done.

If I were a stan of Lebron's, I'd be pulling for Kawhi to stay in Toronto.
