The guy who shot 45.5% from three on over 5 attempts per game last season with elite perimeter defense is useless for us? We got two dominant scorers, we badly needed a 3 & D guy like Green.

He averaged 10.3 last season on 2.5 threes made a game, he plays defense, and he's experienced. Who gives you a quality role player.

He's old and washed. This isn't 2013 Danny Green. You watch the NBA in recent years?

The old Danny Green? Look at his career stats. He's always been a role player. He can still shoot.

This is false. He played 14-22 minutes in the games he scored 0 points and the Raps were 4 - 0.

He's only 32 and coming off his best Regular Season of his career(in terms of shooting) and looked as good as ever on the defensive end in the Playoffs.

He is a bench player not a starter. It's a reason Vegas always had him scoring 7 pts or less lOL

Everyone keeps thinking of the SPURS Danny Green and not the Danny Green of 2019:roll:

Green gives you 3 threes and 13 ppg per 36 minutes.

As I said in other thread green is a good pickup and yes he is slightly overpaid but under circumstances Lakers has no choice. With Lebron and AD on floor he will get plenty of open looks. Also a solid defender and has championship experience.

Danny is a player from the older model of the NBA. The league is trending away from players as one-dimensional as him. Teams are looking for ball handlers/playmakers from all five positions now(ideally). It's why Toronto benched him in favor of Van Fleet numerous times in the playoffs or even why Pop used to bench him for Patty Mills. He can really bog down an offense at times. Toronto got away with it because they had Lowry/Kawhi and even Marc/Siakam sharing playmaking duties. Lakers have old Lebron and no one else.

He's a proven winner that steps it up big time in big playoff moments. Reminds me of Derek Fisher in some ways, but with better defense. If the Lakers can manage to get a good seed in the playoffs he could help them make some noise. Too bad Toronto had to trade him. They'll miss him next year, even if Kawhi signs. He's a glue guy, just like Houston missed Trevor Ariza this year on D.

It's been a heavy topic of discussion that the Lakers need 3&D guys.
Suddenly, when you miss on Kawhi it's "what exactly is a 3&D guy supposed to do for the Lakers"?????

Danny Green might be the worst dribbling 2 in the league.

But he's right up there as one of the best catch and shoot guys... the perfect player for LBJ ball.

IF GREEN wasnt replaced by VAN whatever from Toronto the Raptors would have lost the FINALs and ECF..

He can hit a open shot and he can play some defense.. But the Lakers could have gotten Brogdan for 17 million a year.. A MUCH BETTER PLAYER .. MUCH BETTER..

Dunno, if LeBron comes in as heavy as he was last season he's going to have problems breaking down the defense and Verde will be no help there.

He partied too much in SA and was throwing up bricks for his last few years.

Wait til the LA nightlife hits his life..

Can guarantee I've watched Danny more than all of you here....its not a good signing

Even by todays standards his contract is really rich...He is getting paid better than Beverly, and almost as much as BROGDAN..
