A big injustice that still exists.Having to pay child support for kid that' not yours

I was reading about the Jordan Brown murder mystery on wiki and Reddit where an 11 year old child spent 8 years in juvi for shooting his stepmom in the head but eventually had the conviction overturned. Kid probably did it but there was another individual of great interest to police that they accepted the alibi of that had huge motive and why I decided to post this topic today.

Apparently this women's ex-husband was in a viscous paternity battle with this woman as he had been paying child support for years for a daughter that was not his, as proved by a DNA test. It should have been obvious as the "parents" where white and the daughter was very olive skinned with dark hair. The real father was probably Hispanic or middle eastern.

The kicker is this poor guy STILL had to pay child support for a child that DNA tests said was not his. :mad: Turns out in once legal paternity is established it's near impossible and very expensive in almost every state to reverse child support even if it's proven that the kid is not yours!

Not only should a man have to stop making CS payments the second it's proven the child is not his but he should be given a refund with interest for all the payments he did make. Let the state go after the woman and/or real father to recover the funds just like they did going after the wrong father at the slut mother's request.

It should be noted that to obtain legal paternity, you have to agree to it or do a DNA test. So it's still you who agreed to be this child's legal father with all its responsibilities and legally your own fault if you didn't choose to do a DNA test.

I don't think that's 100% true. Child support will be assessed to you on the mother's word if you do not respond to the notice the you will be receiving child support bills/levys. A lot of men simply agree to it because like the guy in my OP, he's the husband of the wife and assuming the child is his never knowing until later his wife was cheating on him. Many are not absolutely certain they are the father but the fact they are afraid of needles or being pricked is enough to convince them, hell it's probably theirs anyway. In any case, once a DNA test proves you are not the father, there's not a single reason to paying another dime. If this was a woman's issue, they'd be marching on Washington over it. :oldlol:

Get this though. A woman is also legally required to name all potential fathers of the child. If a man suffers because she refused to name the real father, nothing happens to her, the sucker is still f*cked and continues to be f*cked.

This is also already said. You have the choice of getting a dna test. That is a choice you are free to take or not before agreeing to be the child's legal parent.
