OP is absolutely correct and the reason is that deep in their hearts all these people know that they care about LeBron and they don't care about Kawhi.

And the reason they feel that way is because LeBron is one of the very best players to ever do it, as in, at least top 5... and Kawhi is no where near that. Kawhi is an all time great, but he's not ever going to be approaching that level.

There are different standards for different levels of greatness.


Kawhi has not shown he can carry a franchise. Kawhi has shown that he's been on teams with great coaches and supporting casts and he's done what he's supposed to do... win in those situations.

Call me when Kawhi turns a 20 win team into a 60 win team.
