Wow, trading a solid role player on a good contract for a late first round pick... doesn't seem like a good trade for OKC.
On the flip side, it's a great pick-up for Denver.

Makes sense for both teams.
OKC saves a ton of money in the tax, gets a first round pick, and loses a player that isn't going to be there long-term with the incoming rebuild.
Russ is gone if they can find a trade.
Have to imagine they trade Gallo as well. He's really good and on an expiring contract. Gallo on the Bucks, for example, would be great. Illyasova, a pick/young player, and some matching salary would be great for both teams if they could make the numbers work.
Thunder save even more money and get another future asset.

Denver looks promising for next season.
Especially since they've got Bol Bol, lol.

Based on conversations among player, agent and team, Oklahoma City for the first time is receptive toward trade calls on franchise star Russell Westbrook, league sources tell

.
I mean, it would be hard to start the season with Russ on the roster at this point.
Come on Mavs...do something...
Get Dragic and Adams...take on salary to get a pick...
Please...we are the only team left with any cap left before we ink the deals...do something with Lee's expiring and that space.

Do you know what pick they could trade? I know they've traded some away.
Illyasova/Leur/Pick for Gallo seems like a perfect deal for both teams.

i know they have the pick they got for brogdon. They dont have too many assets but I'm not too sure. I tried looking at their subreddit but no one there has even considered this move lol.

Oh yea, forgot about the Pacers pick.
That would work...Thunder save a little bit of money and get another first rounder.
Bucks add a player that would help them dramatically imo.
Really don't see how the Bucks aren't on the phone right now trying to get this done as soon as possible.
Man, if the Thunder get a decent return for Russ/Adams...they couldn't be in better position for a fast rebuild with SGA already on the roster, tons of cap flexibility...and the most insane collection of first rounders ever.

Westbrook and OKC built up Grant that he's now solid. He guarded Giannis pretty great, must have had 5 blocks on him. He is not a 3 and D guy, but his 3 pointers are hit or miss. He is definitely a good role player, has crazy hops as well.
Glad to see he's on Denver, they are a great passing team and he should flourish. Definitely an upgrade to Millsap.
